Welcome to Scarlet's Manatees! This mod aims to improve marine life inside of your Minecraft world! The mod adds a sweet new mob called the Manatee that has many cool features alongside it! Take a dive into your new world with Scarlet's Manatees!

Manatees are passive sea mobs. They are found in warm ocean biomes only and cannot be found anywhere else. They are very slow swimmers and have a thick stack of health.
Salty gravel can be found in rivers and the ocean. Salty sand can be found in the ocean and the beach. A brush must be used to extract the salt from these blocks. Salt can be fed to Manatees for a gift.
Seafoam can be found floating in any type of ocean and can be simply harvested with your fist. Seafoam can be crafted into multiple things such as seafoam chowder, salty seafoam platter, and sea's bounty.
Salt:
When a manatee is fed salt, it chomps for 5 seconds, and then spits out a gift ranging from sand to diamonds. Once fed a piece salt, a manatee cannot be fed another piece until you sleep in a bed. It will refuse to eat the salt. There is a way around this though. If you craft a "Seafoam Chowder" and feed it to the manatee, it resets it's cooldown and allows you to immediately be able to feed it another piece of salt.
Sea's Bounty:
When a manatee is fed a sea's bounty, it's gifts get buffed heavily, new gifts will appear and gifts that were harder to obtain from feeding a manatee salt, become much more common in this loot table. To reset a manatee's sea's bounty cooldown, you must feed it a "Salty Seafoam Platter".
Seagrass:
When 2 manatees are fed seagrass, they will find each other and breed. A baby manatee is born and has the same properties as an adult.

There are 3 new items that a manatee can give when fed salt (only the first item) or a sea's bounty (all three).
Barrels can be found floating in the middle of the sea in groups ranging from 1 box to 3 boxes. These boxes can be broken with one punch of a fist and drop 1-4 items ranging from kelp to iron nuggets.
Baby manatees can be fed a special berry found in floating barrels. When given this berry, they gift the player with a variety of unique gifts that cannot be obtained from an adult such as seasalt cookies and ink sacs. To reset a baby's berry cooldown, you must either sleep in a bed, or fed a piece of seafoam.
Seasalt Cookie: Seasalt cookies are the unique new item found from a baby manatee's loot table. These cookies when eaten on land, are just like normal cookies but when they are eaten in water, they provide effects AND reset all manatee cooldowns.
Seaplant presses were added in the 1.0.1 update and are a functional block. When kelp, seagrass, or sea pickle is placed inside of this block, it'll begin grinding it and turns it into a more valuable item. Seaplant presses need Petrified Kelp to be crafted which can be dropped by Manatees when fed salt, seabloom berries, or sea's bounty. When a Seaplant press begins to press an item, another item cannot be placed simultaneously.
Manatee plushies were added in the 1.0.2 update and are decorative blocks. To be crafted, one must gather 9 fluff which is an uncommon drop from Manatees when fed salt, seabloom berries, or sea's bounty. Enjoy these jolly little plushies!
