Curse Maven Snippet
Bugfixes:
- Fixes players unable to eat the Forbidden Fruit.
- Fixes Ambrosial Arbor Food Bar (Client Side) persisting across worlds.
Item Adjustments:
- Decreases the Armor Reduction Penalty of the Ring of the Seven Curses from 80% to 60%. Please regenerate your Enigmatic Legacy configs for this change to reflect.
New Items:
- Adds Bastion of Frozen Restraint (Bulwark of Blazing Pride counterpart)
When equipped:
- Releases you from the freezing cold
When blocking:
- Can block attacks immediately after being raised.
- Can block attacks omni-directionally.
- Cannot be disabled by weapons normally effective against shields.
- Freezes attackers when blocking melee damage.
- Blocked projectiles are reflected towards your looking direction.
- Redirect all the damage received by the entity you are protecting towards yourself if you are within 16 blocks of each other.
Alteration of the First Burden:
- When you are within 16 blocks of your protected entity, allow the use of swords for striking enemies.
Dev Notes:
- The owner of the redirected projectile is the entity that launched the projectile, meaning it uses their stats not yours. Why did i do this? Because if I use the user's stats, your damage will be abysmally low due to the 3rd Burden's damage reduction.
- Why didn't i just exempt it from the reduction? Because then it would be an overpowered "Reversal" spell (from T.O.M.E.) that requires no skill, just a long button press.
- The consequence of this is unless it's an arrow, it's highly likely that this wont damage the original entity since they cant be hurt by their own damage, but you can redirect it to something or someone else.
- You'll need this item in your offhand if you want to be able to use swords.
Other notable observations:
- If you are not playing this mod with Apotheosis, consider lowering the Enchanting Bonus of the Ring of the Seven Curses in Enigmatic Legacy's configs from 80 to 20-30. This is because the Vanilla Enchantment Value normally caps at 30. Apotheosis is able to raise this cap thanks to their Enchantment Module, giving you the full benefit of +80.
- If you are using Easy Magic, this blessing will have no effect whatsoever. This is on Enigmatic Legacy's side, not mine.
This is just a quick bug fix with one item addition after reviewing player feedback. I am still working on and prioritizing AeromancyPlus.
