Four things about the ocean that were bugging me. btw these changes arent too noticable but i just wanted to finish these

Waves take time now. Wave height used to just track the wind exactly. Wind goes up, waves go up, instantly. That's not how the sea works. Now it builds over a few minutes and takes a lot longer to settle back down. Best bit is after a storm blows through you get a big swell still rolling around under a clear blue sky. Sails still react to the wind straight away, it's only the size of the waves that lags behind.

Sheltered water is actually sheltered. Waves need a run of open water to build across. If there's land upwind of you the sea stays small even in a gale, and out in the open it goes big. So bays and harbours are worth something now.

Waves break properly. They used to just shrink as the water got shallower, which looked pretty weak. Real waves do the opposite first, they slow down and bunch up and get taller, then fall over once they're too steep for the depth. So surf piles up on the beach now instead of politely giving up.

Foam sticks around. Whitecaps used to vanish the second the wave moved past. Now the foam sits on the water and drifts downwind for a few seconds before it goes.

New sliders on the Ocean tab for the build and calm-down times, fetch distance, and the shoaling toggle. Foam lifetime is under Visuals. Server settings sync to clients on multiplayer like the rest of the
