[BASIC INFO]
This mod adds new mobs and features ive thought up, focusing on quality over quantity.
Each mob is designed to have its own unique uses and purposes, all hostile mobs in the mod have custom attacks and combat music, and all passive mobs have uses that dont involve killing them for drops.
Most info on how to interact with the mobs and their features can be found through the advancements tab.
I plan to continue to update this mod with new features as i think of new mobs and ideas.
At the moment the mod has:
- 4 hostile mobs
- 4 passive mobs
If you have any suggestions for features let me know :3
SPOILERS AHEAD FOR ALL MOBS AHEAD!
[HOSTILE]
[ERODED]
RAAAAAAGH CLANG CLANG CLANG
Eroded are a varient of skeletons armed with a spear and shield that appear in dripstone caves and eroded badlands.
Eroded will attempt to execute a 3 hit combo with their spear, lunging forward towards the player each time. Ocassionally when hit the Eroded will also go into a guard state causing the player to take thorns damage when trying to attack it, this can be disabled with an axe.
If the player attacks right before the eroded does they will parry the attack, leaving the eroded open for a long window of time.
When killed Eroded drop dripstone, pointed dripstone, encrusted bones and rarely a dripstone spear and encrusted shield.
The encrusted shield is a shield that deals thorns damage to attackers but is temporarily disabled this shield has 2 custom enchants
Brittle Barbs - This enchant gives a flat damage increase to the shield.
Fortitude - This enchant increases the amount of hits the shield can take before its disabled.
The Dripstone spear is a melee weapon that deals 7 damage and has a lunge ability that can be activated with a keybind, it is compatible with most sword enchants but also has 2 enchants of its own.
Velocity - Increases the damage of the lunge ability.
Earths Power - Replaces the lunge with a large dripstone spike that damages enemies and launches enemies into the sky, this also scales with Velocity.

[LIGHTLESS]
When the light is running low.
Lightless are hostile mobs that only appear during a full or new moon, when nearby a lightless black fog will creep in.
Lightless will ocassionally dash towards their target to close distance and attack with a quick 2 hit combo which doesnt trigger as many immunity frames allowing it to hit both times if not avoided.
Lightless can be dealt with more easily by putting down a light source, this will cause it to begin dying and slow its movement dramatically.
When killed the Lightless will drop Nightmare Fuel and rarely a Lightless Core.
With these items the player can craft a Nightmare Sabre and a Nightmare Lamp.
The nightmare lamp is a redstone and light block that launches mobs and players into the air with a shockwave when powered, this can be used for mob farms or elevators among other things.
The Nightmare Sabre is a late-game sword that requires netherite, decompiled monoliths and a lightless core to make. on top of attacking like normal the Nightmare sabre has a custom 3 hit attack cycle which stacks with base 6 damage of the weapon, the first 2 hits create a slash infront of you dealing extra damage, the 3rd hit creates a shockwave that deals AOE damage, this item also has 2 custom enchants.
Nightmare Aspect - Increases the damage of the custom attacks.
Repulsion - Causes the AOE to repel mobs away.

[Decompiled]
Why do people keep calling me slop?
The Decompiled is designed to look like a typical ARG entity but doesnt act like one behaving as more of a rare miniboss.
The Decompiled spawns at deepslate layer and only 1 can exist at a time making them strong but decently rare to encounter.
The Decompiled has a larger attack pool than most mobs in the mod, having a basic punch, a dropkick which can send the player flying, and a backflip which it uses to back away from the player before strafing and firing a beam of energy at the player.
When nearby the player will also have a shader applied that causes a color shift.
When killed the Decompiled will drop anomalous thread and watchful obelisks, used for the Nightmare Sabre and a custom bauble, the Decompiled Core.
The Decompiled core allows the player to perform a directional airdodge when hitting a keybind and is my personal favorite item in the mod.

[SCULPTURE]
Illager Experiment Gone Wrong
Sculptures are idols made of various blocks that the illagers injected with souls from soul sand that only move when not looked at unless you attack them.
Sculptures spawn in dark oak forests, lush caves, swamps, mangrove swamps and soul sand vallys, having different appearances depending on where they spawn, they also spawn in raids.
Sculptures will become enraged when attacked, they will shriek and no longer freeze when looked at this shriek will also cause other nearby sculptures to go into rage mode.
They attack with a 4 hit combo, the first 3 hits are a basic punch with high range due to their long arms, the 4th hit is an upward swing that launches the player up unto the air.
Sculptures can only be damaged by other mobs or a pickaxe, after about 4 swings with a pickaxe against the Sculpture it will begin to crack and after 9 the sculpture will shatter and have a chance to drop its soul.
The sculptures soul can be used to craft a Clay Amalgam, if the amalgam is right clicked with a clay block below it and a carved pumpkin above it, it will spawn a friendly sculpture.
Friendly Sculptures will attack any nearby hostile mobs with the same combo they used on the player, but unlike iron golems will return to the place they were spawned when not in combat allowing for them to be used as guards.
Friendly Sculptures can be reinforced with clay blocks increasing their health from 50 up to 100, they also have slow passive regen that allows them to recover when idle. Their skin can be changed by clicking on them with clay, mud or soul sand.
[this mob also has compatibility with a mod called "Places" having a custom varient and being able to spawn in the mods dimension]

[PASSIVE]
[SPRIGLET]
Spriglets are nasty little creatures but happened to be the first mob added.
Spriglets spawn from sprouts that generate ontop of grass in most overworld biomes, these sprouts will not immediately grow and can be collected and replanted to relocate spriglets to a desired location.
[Flowering State]
Spriglets enter their flowering state if fed bonemeal.
In their flowering states spriglets will ocassionally pollinate nearby bone-mealable blocks including crops making keeping them in crop farms a good way to speed up their growth, if given more bonemeal in their flowering state spriglets will produce hearty seeds which grow into hearty roots.
Hearty roots are a great food source and also have a golden variant which provides temporary Health Boost.

[SOOT SCUTTLER]
I LOVE Soot Scuttlers but that isnt why your here.
Soot Scuttlers are small passive mobs that spawn around their nest in small rare structures.
Soot Scuttlers will wander about until they decide to begin digging in the ground looking for an item, after which you will see them scampering back to their spawn point to deliver said item to their nest. You can then open their nest or use a hopper to extract the items they've hoarded.
Scuttler nests can be picked up by mining them and Soot Scuttlers can be bucketed to relocate them, this also sets their home location to the location you place them.
While this item is usually either coal, soot or rarely an odd fossil but if you feed a Soot Scuttler a specific flavor of Soot Roll it will convert into the corresponding ore varient and have a chance to find said ore and return it to the nest when digging.
Soot rolls are a food item made of soot, wheat and sugar, they can be made into ore varients by combining them with ore, the ore varients are designed to be eaten by the scuttlers not you...
I love these things <3

[BOULKER]
Why does nobody ever mod in shulker mobs? whats with the shulker hate?
Boulkers are prehistoric shulkers which have a hard spined shell and LEGS! despite their size they can be bucketed because yes.
Remember that odd fossil from the Soot Scuttler section? while this is where that comes into use, by crafting it with slime, soot and encrusted bones the fossil can be restored into an odd egg.
When placed this egg will have a chance to crack every time it has a tick update, after cracking 2 times a baby Boulker will be born and wander around not doing much of interest until it grows up, once grown the Boulker can be utilized to its fullest potential.
Baby and grown Boulkers can be herded and commanded using a Boulker rattle. Right clicking a block with the Boulker rattle will cause Boulkers following you to roll at the location, destroying blocks and damaging enemies but temporarily stunning themselves in the process.
This can be a great way to mine out large areas underground to collect blocks or even stripmine for ores!
When a boulker hits a wall it has a chance to drop a Boulker Shell this item can be made into a Boulker Pouch a small storage item that fits 6 stacks of items inside and can be stored in the inventory similarly to a shulker box but easier to obtain early on.

[BOGEEPER]
Bogeepers are swamp creepers distantly related to Soot Scuttlers.
They wander around swamps and mangrove forests on long stilts made from brances which makes them seem taller than they actually are.
If you lead a Bogeeper to water, sand, or gravel it will pierce the ground with its stilts and uncover items, when digging in water will uncover fish and rarely fishing loot or junk, when digging in sand or gravel it will uncover various archaeology loot but they will scavenge less frequently than in water.
When scavenging in water they can find rich mud, which can be crafted into mud blocks or into a bauble called a Mud Barrier which puts a temporary shield on the player when hitting a keybind that blocks 1 hit of damage before needing to recharge.
if standing in water for too long they will attempt to pathfind to land.
When killed Bogeepers drop mud, gunpowder, and soot but why would you want to do that?
