The Sky Kingdom
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
The one village the mobs never took — a colossal medieval capital in its own peaceful sky biome — plus a solid Moon, clouds that finally bounce, and vertical stairs. (Worldgen changes are new-worlds-only — make a fresh world to find the Sky Kingdom and the fixed Space.)
- A new peaceful Aether biome — warm golden sky, and nothing hostile ever spawns. On a large island in it stands a colossal medieval castle mega-village, the one settlement the mobs never took, built up over the decades:
- A crenellated curtain wall with a gatehouse, corner watchtowers of different heights, and stepped buttresses — weathered patched stone with gold trim, so it reads as grown over ages.
- A towering palace keep crowned with a spire, ringed by a skyline of smaller spires.
- A cathedral of stained glass with a bell spire.
- A developed lake with a stone quay, a wooden dock and sky boats moored on the water.
- Timbered houses, farms and streets spilling past the walls, and furnished interiors everywhere — a throne hall, cathedral pews and altar, lived-in homes, and a bustling market plaza with stalls and a fountain. Never a bare box.
- The Moon is no longer a hollow shell — it's a solid globe (stone core under a thick Moonstone crust) with its big top crater, so digging into it never breaks through into emptiness.
- The Blue and Golden Aerclouds actually spring you back up now (they were catching your fall but not bouncing). Blue is a gentle hop; Golden is a big trampoline launch.
- A Vertical Stair — an upright L-shaped corner post — for every one of the 64 materials that has a vertical slab. Great for pillars, window frames and trim.
- Planets now wear their surface block on all sides (grass all the way around), and each grows a signature landmark — a cottage, a sandstone temple, a snow igloo or a giant mushroom.
- The climbing sky is fixed — arrive at the pad to a blue Overworld sky, climb through the dark to the End stars up by the Moon (the zones were mis-placed before).
- The Structure Chest now sucks up only the structure, not the ground under it, keeps the contents of any chests inside a captured build, and has an easy recipe (a chest, planks and an ender pearl).
- Aether villages sit naturally on the islands now — no more giant stone bases poking out beneath.
