The Aether reborn, and a sky that changes as you climb
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
The big Aether rebuild, the Overnether/Right Forest rename, book-faithful Traveling Potatoes, a vertical slab for every slab, and Space's first planet under a three-layer sky. (Worldgen changes are new-worlds-only — make a fresh world to see the new dungeons, trees, biomes and Space.)
- Aether grass is teal/cyan now, with a layer of Aether dirt underneath it — the way Ruby drew it.
- The three dungeons are classic-Aether Holystone strongholds trimmed in copper, iron and gold, set inside the islands (roof flush with the surface) — and they're real multi-room dungeons: satellite rooms branch off the boss hall through corridors — two wings on Bronze, three on Silver, four plus a deeper branch on Gold — each with its own guardian, chest and entrance trap.
- Bronze has a real custom boss, the Bronze Guardian, with a boss bar that only appears once you're in the room (no more seeing its health from across the island).
- Dungeons are far rarer now and never spawn stacked on top of each other.
- The first planet floats near the spawn pad — a solid 64×64×64 cube of stone to fly out to.
- The spawn pad now has a ready-lit Holystone portal so you can step straight back home.
- Three stacked skyboxes by altitude: the Overworld sky at the bottom, a dark void in the middle, and the End's starfield up top — the sky changes as you climb.
- The wandering Endermen are gone — Space is empty on purpose.
- The green wood, blocks and biome are renamed to Overnether; the grey ones to Right (biome: The Right Forest).
- Overnether trees rebuilt to Ruby's concept art — the trunk runs up through stacked leaf layers, each smaller than the last.
- The Right Forest's Bent Trees grow out of the wall (and higher up it now), not the floor.
- Chorus trees are built from Chorus Logs (thick trunks), not the bark blocks.
- Plant one and it sends out a wide, walkable root bridge in the direction you plant it, reaching across the void to connect islands, growing a fresh potato at each end.
- A new Corruption Ball — the exact opposite of the Purification Ball.
- Purification can no longer undo Netherrack.
- The Purified enchantment is now guaranteed in dungeon loot, so you can actually find and use it.
- A vertical slab for every slab in the game — all of Ruby's mod woods and stones and the full vanilla wood and stone families. Place them on a block's side; two make a full block, just like normal slabs.
- The Chorus torch renders properly (it was showing as a black cross).
- Gravity anchors are two always-on blocks — Up and All-Around — that a redstone signal switches off.
- Green Sand keeps its name (it's the End Badlands) and its sideways-falling effect.
- End Stone Walls generate in the regular End, not in the custom End biomes.
