1.7.0: Storage vault for Tom's Simple Storage

What's new

Houses can now come with a ready-made storage network from Tom's Simple Storage. Switch it on and the house's Storage Room is built with 20 chests, already linked to a Storage Terminal and a Crafting Terminal. You can reach everything from one place as soon as the house is placed.

How to turn it on

1. Install Tom's Simple Storage. It's a separate mod and isn't included.
2. Open a house in the catalogue and press Customise.
3. In the new Mods section, switch on Tom's Simple Storage vault.

The house needs its Storage Room switched on and the Varied architecture. If Tom's Simple Storage isn't installed, the switch is greyed out and says why.

What it costs

In survival, the vault adds 20 Chests, 1 Inventory Connector, 1 Storage Terminal and 1 Crafting Terminal to the house's price. The placement panel shows anything you're missing. If something is missing, the house isn't placed and nothing is taken. Creative players and exempt operators build it for free.

Undo

You can't undo a house while its vault still holds items, including anything left in the Crafting Terminal's grid. Empty it first. Your items are never deleted.

Good to know

• Only the Storage Room changes. The rest of the house is built exactly as before.
• A few small size combinations don't leave room for the vault. Customise tells you and suggests a larger house or room size.
• The Builder's Hammer can't add a vault.
• Without Tom's Simple Storage, saved designs that used the vault open with it switched off.
• Fixed: long setting names in Customise now wrap instead of being cut off.

Before you update (servers)

• The server and every player must update to 1.7.0 together. 1.6.x players can't join a 1.7.0 server, and 1.7.0 players can't join a 1.6.x server.
• To build vaults on a server, install Tom's Simple Storage on the server and on every player's game.
• Existing designs, codes and presets build exactly the same houses.

Versions

Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge 47.1.0 or newer. Tested with Tom's Simple Storage 1.20-1.7.1. NeoForge 1.21.1 has its own 1.7.0.
