📦 Changelog — Version 1.4
Fixes & New Features

Version 1.4 introduces important fixes to crafting, block behavior, and tools, as well as the long-awaited implementation of the scarecrow.

Fixes & Improvements

Gear crafting in the anvil corrected
Previously, no matter how many iron ingots you placed, the anvil always produced 4 gears per craft. Now, placing any number of iron ingots and redstone will yield the correct amount of gears.

Gears dropping properly
Breaking blocks that contained placed gears previously caused them to float and crash the game. This issue has been resolved; gears now drop correctly when their supporting blocks are removed.

Ruby Hoe functionality restored
The Ruby Hoe previously did not work as intended. Now it functions properly for all agricultural actions.

Implementations & New Features

Scarecrow (based on the concept 3. “The Myth of the Eternal Suggestion”)

  • The scarecrow is one of the most requested features on Mojang’s suggestion portal since 2012.

  • Community lore: For years, whenever Mojang announced farming updates (e.g., Village & Pillage 1.14), players created fake scarecrow features so realistic that many believed them to be real.

  • Design origin: The familiar pumpkin-straw-stick design most mods use comes not from Mojang, but from the legendary mod Simple Scarecrows and player farm decorations using fences, hay bales, and pumpkins.

  • Mod behavior: Unlike scarecrows in other mods, this version is made from Sand or Soul Soil, and will come to life:

    • Attacks mobs that threaten it, other scarecrows, or your crops (except iron golems, snow golems, your pets, and the player).

    • After finishing combat, returns to its original location and reverts to statue form.

    • Immune to fall damage and does not die from falling.

    • Can be healed by right-clicking with wheat or by waiting for natural regeneration while in statue mode.
