✦ Gear Update

Version 1.3 introduces Gears, reviving an early mechanical concept that briefly appeared during Minecraft’s early development and was later removed before gaining any real functionality.

Gears were present in Minecraft Indev (2010) as an experimental block, but were never fully implemented and were removed before the Alpha phase as Minecraft’s redstone system began to take shape.

In Revived Roses, gears return with a modern purpose.

Unlike their original concept, gears are implemented as a fully functional mechanical system, designed to integrate naturally with modern redstone mechanics and follow vanilla behavior.

Gears

Gears can be placed on multiple faces of the same block and connect together to form mechanical networks. These networks transmit redstone power consistently, allowing signals to propagate across connected gears and shut down correctly when power is removed.

The gear system is designed without block entities, using block states instead for better performance and stability, even in larger networks.

This update expands Revived Roses beyond flora and materials, restoring another forgotten concept and adapting it to modern Minecraft gameplay.
