Description

Reverie is a Forge mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 that adds large themed adventure updates to the game. Each theme is planned to bring its own biomes, mobs, structures, items, equipment, mechanics, and atmosphere while still feeling like it belongs in Minecraft.
After one theme is completed, the mod will move on to another large themed update. Each theme is intended to feel like a full content expansion rather than a small collection of unrelated additions. The goal is for every major theme to have its own visual identity, gameplay ideas, creatures, environments, and systems.
The mod is currently starting with its first major theme: a fantasy Wild West expansion. This update adds new desert environments, frontier-inspired creatures, outlaws, folk, firearms, western gear, blocks, decorations, structures, and strange mechanics built around exploration and adventure.

YEEEEHAW! THE CURRENT THEME IS FANTASY WILD WEST
The fantasy Wild West update expands the overworld with new desert-inspired content and frontier-themed gameplay.
You may come across strange desert landscapes, outlaws, new creatures, folk, western equipment, wearable gear, firearms, structures, and other content designed to make exploration feel more varied.

This update is still being developed, so features, balance, visuals, structures, and mechanics may change over time.

Q: I don’t like guns in Minecraft. What can I do?
A: Firearms can be disabled with a config option:
enableFirearms=false
This disables natural gun spawns and replaces guns in mob hands with bananas. This may not affect already generated worlds.
Q: Is Reverie multiplayer compatible?
A: Yes. Reverie is designed with co-op in mind, but balance and testing are still ongoing.
Q: Will Reverie update to future versions or NeoForge?
A: Yes. The first release is planned for Forge 1.20.1.
Q: Will there be Fabric support?
A: No.
Q: Can I suggest ideas or help with assets?
A: Suggestions and help are welcome through the Discord server, especially if you have examples of your work.
