RCT Level Scaler
RCT Level Scaler is a Fabric addon for Cobblemon + Radical Cobblemon Trainers (RCT) that dynamically scales trainer Pokémon levels to match the player's current progression.
This mod is designed for open-ended survival playthroughs, where players want to explore, fight, and progress freely — without gyms or trainers becoming trivial or impossible due to level gaps.
Features
- Dynamically scales RCT trainer Pokémon levels at battle start
- Multiple base level modes:
max— strongest Pokémon in your partyavg2— average of your two strongest Pokémon
- Configurable level range (e.g. base ± 3)
- Optional deterministic daily scaling
- Correct stat recalculation (not just level numbers)
- Fully configurable via JSON config
Important Note
This mod does not override RCT's spawn or battle restrictions. RCT still controls:
- Trainer spawning
- Forced battles
- Allowed level differences
If you want full freedom, adjust RCT config values such as:
Spawning.maxLevelDiffTrainers.forceBattleMaxLevelDiff
Intended Use
This mod is meant for players who prefer:
- Survival-first gameplay
- Free exploration before gyms
- No grinding just to stay "in range"
- Trainers that remain relevant at any stage
⚠️ If you prefer strict Pokémon-style progression, this mod may not be for you.
