Description
This addon adds Diesel locomotives to Railcraft (1.12.2). It is a temporary solution until the feature is merged directly into Railcraft. Currently only the latest beta (Railcraft 12.1.0-beta-8) is supported.
Now it has these features:
- Has a completely new model and textures.
- Can be fueled by Diesel, Biodiesel or Fuel from any mod (tested with BuildCraft, Immersive Petroleum and Galacticraft). Railcraft does not add any of these, and they can't be obtained when using Railcraft without any other mods. Accepted fuels can be changed in config.
- Can be colored just like steam or electric locomotives
- Can accept fuel from adjacent tank carts with the same type of fuel
- Consumption is based on speed
- Has a nice smoke effect when engine is on
- Tank size and consumption can be configured in config. With a 16 bucket tank it can run for 8-13 km depending on speed or more than 4 hours when idle.
- Locomotive's engine has a temperature system - when it's cold or too hot the power is reduced.
