What's new
RTM 3.2
Bulk Chemistry & Construction
- Greatly increased batch sizes for common industrial chemicals, fertilizers, polymers, gases, salts, biological materials, and other bulk commodities.
- Concrete and fibre concrete now produce 256 blocks per batch, while asphalt has also been increased to 256 blocks per batch.
- Increased Chemical Reactor water-processing capacity to 60 L/min.
- Increased built-in machine cooling capacity for larger industrial processes.
- Improved industrial reactor and mixer capacity handling for larger recipes.
- Fixed several material-processing inconsistencies, including vanadium producing too much metal.
- Existing paid batches and stored materials remain compatible and are not rescaled.
Power Networks & Generators
- Reworked electrical distribution to be safer and more stable on large, saturated, or complicated power networks.
- Fixed machines occasionally losing their power connection when switching between active and inactive block states.
- Fixed several cases where interrupted processing could incorrectly refund electricity or lose already-paid progress.
- Generators now behave more realistically when the electrical network cannot accept their output.
- Stirling generators continue consuming heat instead of magically stopping.
- Diesel generators now throttle instead of instantly shutting off.
- Gas turbines retain realistic running fuel, lubrication, and exhaust behavior.
- Other generator families now follow their intended operating behavior under no-load conditions.
- Excess generation is rejected instead of silently becoming hidden battery storage.
- Generator ratings and progression remain unchanged.
Electric Furnace
- Replaced the Electric Furnace's oversized hidden 50 kJ internal battery with a small transfer buffer equivalent to roughly two operating ticks.
- Installed upgrades now correctly affect its transfer capacity and displayed power demand.
- Existing excess stored energy is preserved and drains safely.
- The furnace's battery slot is now clearly treated as the actual energy-storage source.
Chemical Reactor & Machine GUI Improvements
- Reworked the Chemical Reactor interfaces to better match classic HBM styling.
- Added clearer beveled panels, slot grouping, fluid gauges, process indicators, and circuit/template slot artwork.
- Improved layout and spacing in the Industrial Chemical Reactor.
- Centered reactor labels and controls and corrected the workshop reactor's oversized progress bar.
- Added or improved machine displays for:
- Industrial Blast Furnace
- Heating Oven
- Gas Turbine / HRSG
- Industrial Steam Turbine
- Industrial Combustion Engine
- Electrolyser
- Coker
- Dairy processing
- several petroleum and cryogenic machines
- Fixed several power-bar and fluid-gauge display/hover alignment issues.
- Recipes, inventories, tank assignments, processing rates, and automation behavior were not changed by the GUI pass.
Dedicated Server Fixes
- Fixed a dedicated-server crash during legacy structure generation caused by client-only world-saving code.
- Legacy structures now use a server-safe recording system without creating unwanted save files.
- Structure layouts, seeds, metadata, tile data, and placement behavior remain unchanged.
Stability
- Added safeguards against runaway electrical-network processing, recursive power paths, and excessive topology work.
- Added extensive regression coverage for:
- full and rejecting power networks
- cyclic electrical networks
- generator saturation
- energy accounting
- machine storage
- structure generation
- GUI synchronization
