What's new

Added

  • New server setting: the Corpse Compass can now disappear once your body has been fully looted. It also disappears if the body is gone for any other reason, like it expired or an admin recovered it. It's on by default and can be turned off in the config.
  • If someone loots your body before you respawn, you won't get a compass for it at all.
  • Now available on NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1, 26.1.2, and 26.2.

Fixed

  • Dying several times in a row could stop your body from falling and your corpse from appearing at all. This was most noticeable in multiplayer.
  • If you died again before your last body had settled, its items could show up where your new body landed, and your experience could go into the wrong corpse. The older body now stays where it fell, with its own items.
  • An older corpse could make your newest body vanish for other players when they came near it.
  • The Corpse Compass could point at a newer body instead of the one it was made for.
  • Corpses in areas you kept leaving, or in worlds you kept rejoining, never expired because their timer started over each time. The timer now picks up where it left off, and it only runs while someone is nearby.
  • Looted corpses no longer disappear the moment you take the last item. The empty body now stays around as long as a normal Ragdollified ragdoll would.
  • Items in a corpse now stay in their slots when you leave the area or reload the world. Before, worn armor and your off-hand item could get shuffled into the regular inventory slots. Corpses from older versions still load with all their items.

Removed

  • Rummage support on the NeoForge versions, since Rummage only exists for Forge 1.20.1. Corpses there open like a normal inventory, and the Rummage ownBody config option is gone.
