Quantum Particle Compressor
Not Just another overpowered Void miner mod!
Quantum Particle Compressor - "QPC" for short is a late-game Forge tech mod built around energy, water cooling, cryogenic coolant, tiered machine cores, upgrades, and custom 5x5 assembly recipes.
Rather than being a simple ore generator, this mod is designed around progression, heat management, machine infrastructure, and pack-maker control. The harder you push the Compressor, the more support systems you need to keep it stable.
Core Features
Quantum Particle Compressor
The main machine of the mod.
The Compressor uses Forge Energy, water cooling, tiered Quantum Cores, upgrade items, and Cryo Stabilizer support to generate ores from a weighted ore pool.
It automatically detects vanilla and modded ores, then generates outputs based on rarity weighting. Higher-tier cores run faster, but consume more energy and generate more heat. If the machine gets too hot, it overheats and shuts down until cooled.
Quantum Assembly Station
The Quantum Assembly Station is a custom 5x5 crafting station used to build advanced quantum machinery.
It is required for crafting machines such as:
- Quantum Particle Compressor
- Cryo Infuser
- Cryo Stabilizer
JEI support is included for viewing these custom 5x5 recipes.
Tiered Quantum Cores
The Compressor requires a Quantum Core to operate.
Current core tiers:
- Tier 1 Quantum Core
- Tier 2 Quantum Core
- Tier 3 Quantum Core
- Tier 4 Quantum Core
Higher tiers increase speed, but also increase energy demand and heat output. A powerful core without proper cooling will overheat quickly.
Upgrade System
The Compressor supports upgrade items with configurable install limits.
Current upgrades:
- Speed Upgrade
- Efficiency Upgrade
- Heat Dispersal Upgrade
Speed upgrades increase compression speed, but raise FE usage and heat generation. Efficiency upgrades reduce FE usage. Heat Dispersal upgrades reduce heat output.
Upgrade limits are configurable, allowing pack makers to keep the machine balanced or push it into extreme full-torque setups.
Cryogenic Cooling System
High-tier compression needs more than water.
Cryo Infuser
The Cryo Infuser converts:
Water + Forge Energy + Cryo Activator durability
into:
Cryo Gel
Cryo Gel can be moved with buckets or fluid pipes,
extremely cold to the touch and will apply the freeze effect if stood in.
It includes:
- Bucket support
- Fluid pipe support
- Cold particle effects
- Freezing effect when stood in
- Thick, icy fluid behaviour
Cryo Stabilizer
Cryo Stabilizers are external cooling blocks.
Place them near a Quantum Particle Compressor and fill them with Cryo Gel. While the Compressor runs, nearby Stabilizers consume Cryo Gel and reduce heat.
Active Stabilizers may also frost nearby blocks with snow layers for visual feedback.
Ore Detection and Pack Control
The Compressor automatically detects ore-like blocks from vanilla and modded registries.
Pack makers can control the ore pool using config options for:
- Ore blacklist
- Rarity overrides
- Ore rarity weights
- Debug ore discovery logging
This allows you to remove false positives, rebalance specific ores, or adjust the overall rarity curve.
Example uses:
- Blacklist a machine block that was incorrectly detected as an ore
- Force a modded ore to be rare or legendary
- Increase or decrease common ore output
- Log all discovered ores for debugging large modpacks

This mod is designed to be friendly for modpack authors who want control over balance and progression.
JEI Support
JEI support is included for the custom Quantum Assembly Station recipes and strongly recommended.
Current Status
This mod is currently in alpha.
That means:
- Balance may change
- Recipes may change
- Textures may be improved
- Ore detection rules may be adjusted
- Additional compatibility may be added later
The current version is playable, but testing and feedback in larger modpacks is very welcome.
