Description

OVERVIEW:
This mod adds a large number of misc improvements and fixes that were too small to be their own individual mods. It is designed to blend seemlessly with vanilla, making tiny improvements throughout the game. Not every feature is listed below, only some of the more notable ones. For texture changes to work, 'Mod Resources' must be higher priority than 'Default' in the Resource Packs tab.
FEATURE LIST:
• Backported Textures: [1.14.4 onwards]
• Backported some (but not all) textures to older versions, where appropriate.
• Jappa-style Clock & Compass, consistent Spectral Arrow model, new redstone torch model, unique banner patterns etc.
• Including fixes for erroneous pixels on Blazes, Smokers, Observers, & Snowy Grass Blocks
• Didn't backport every change (e.g. skipped Ores & Spawn Eggs) for better parity with modded content
• Better Advancements:
• Tweaked the icons, positions and rewards of a few advancments
• No more pointlessly hidden advancements (only applies to vanilla ones)
• Added a couple of new vanilla-friendly advancements
• Better Beetroot:
• Increased yield of fully grown beetroot crops to 2-4 (from just 1)
• Can be crafted into Sugar (inspired by real-life Sugar Beet)
• Red Dye recipe is now obtained through smelting (gives 1.0 XP)
• Better Clay:
• Now drops itself when mined (previously dropped x4 Clay Balls)
• Clay Balls can now be obtained through shapeless crafting
• Better Emerald Ore:
• Increased base yield to 1-3 (before applying looting)
• Better Inventory Icons:
• Waxed & Infested blocks now have a unique inventory border
• Cauldron & Hopper now use a 3D model in the inventory
• Better Jungle Temples:
• Dispensers now shoot Poison (0:11) Arrows
• Better Recipes:
• All rail recipes now output 16 (from 6)
• Beetroot Soup now only requires 3 Beetroots (from 6)
• Prismarine & Dark Prismarine are now much cheaper to craft
• Purpur Pillars are now crafted in the same way as Quartz Pillars
• Redstone Torch recipe now outputs 4 (like regular torches)
• Better Silk Touch:
• Farmland, Paths, Chorus Stems & infested blocks are no longer pointlessly unobtainable
• Tall Grass & Large Ferns now drop themselves when broken with shears or silk touch
• Better Textures:
• Added unique textures to the dyes missing them, for colorblind support
• Dried Kelp now uses its bedrock edition texture, matching its block form
• Fixed some blocks using the wrong break particles
• Illusioners now use their more polished Minecraft Dungeons design
• Melon and Pumpkin crops now have unique stems (inspired by Vanilla Tweaks resource pack)
• Rain is now slightly transparent and significantly less intrusive
• Redstone Ore is now darker when off, and subtly animated when powered
• Slimes now use the slime block particle when landing (previously used slimeball)
• Better Zombie Siege:
• Now has a unique audio cue & custom advancement
