poweredmobs-1.0.0.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
First public release. Powered Mobs scales mob difficulty to player progression, keeping combat challenging in modpacks where endgame gear would otherwise make it trivial — without turning enemies into boring HP sponges.
Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge 21.1+ · Server-side
Features Difficulty scaling Hybrid local + global difficulty: mobs scale based on the real players near them, with the server's overall progression as a lighter background factor. Local progression uses mean + max, so a new player standing next to a veteran doesn't lower the challenge. New-player protection: a weak player alone never faces absurdly scaled enemies, even on an advanced server. World-based scaling: deeper caves and areas far from spawn are tougher. Per-dimension multipliers for the Nether and the End. Anti-one-shot combat (Souls-like) Poise / stagger: very strong hits break a mob's posture instead of killing it outright, forcing a second hit. Soft-cap: excess damage is compressed with a square-root curve — stronger weapons stay stronger, but one-shots are prevented. Not a flat cap. Tiered shields: elite enemies regenerate a shield while out of combat. Player damage Damage is multiplied before armor, so armor keeps protecting normally. Scales with the hit player's own health, not the server average — fair to newcomers. Sub-linear curve, so gaining health always stays worthwhile. Enemy variety Random mobs receive Resistance or Absorption, with chance and level scaling to local difficulty (DarkMobs-style). Anti-sponge & anti-stacking Bosses (via the c:bosses tag) get their own reduced scaling instead of the full multiplier. Rescaling always starts from base stats, so chunk reloads and commands never stack multipliers. Hellmarked integration (optional) Detects infernal mobs (Elite / Ultra / Infernal) and adjusts their scaling to avoid double-buffing. Safely ignored if Hellmarked isn't installed. Commands (/poweredmobs, op level 2, console-friendly) list, get, set — view and change any option live, no restart needed reload — recompute scaling rescale — rescale all loaded entities stats — global system stats debug — full difficulty breakdown of the entity you're looking at Configuration Around 80 fully documented options, organized by section. Nothing is hardcoded. Notes Server-side only — vanilla clients can connect. Works with modded mobs (operates on hostile entities, not a fixed list). Configurable exclusion list for NPCs and pets.
