What's new
Battle overlay (new)
- Compact top-right HUD when a Pixelmon battle starts. Look is taken from the first Pokedex in offhand, then main hand, then hotbar slots 0–8.
- Follows the opponent currently out, including trainer, gym, boss, and player switches.
- Doubles: PREV MON / NEXT MON on the bottom of the overlay cycle the Pokemon on the field. Singles hide the buttons.
- Wild battles show the form-aware caught mark next to the name. Trainer, gym, player, and raid battles do not.
- Server config
battle.modeinpokedex-server.toml:all(default),no_typing, ordisabled. - Clients cannot turn it on. Hidden while a handheld Pokedex screen is open.
Kanto overlay (pokedex:base)
- Radar, dex number, IV%, gender, ability name, and palette.
- Ability is the name only — no hidden-ability tag. Held item is not shown. No type matchups.
Premium overlay (Unova, Silph, Hisui, Paldea)
- Ability (with (HA) when hidden), held item name, palette, and type matchups unless the server uses
no_typing. - Weak to / strong vs wrap under the labels. The overlay grows downward so the full lists fit.
- A type on both lists is removed from both (cancelled out).
Starter
- Players who have no Pokedex of any kind receive a base Kanto Pokedex on first join. Remembered forever. Premium devices are never awarded.
- Server config
starter.give_base(default true).
Handheld Pokedex
- Premium WEAK / STRONG lists wrap under the labels. The device grows downward so nothing is clipped.
- Types that appear on both WEAK and STRONG are removed from both lists.
- Base Kanto handheld: ability name only (no (HA) tag), no held item, no matchups.
Use one jar. Fully quit and relaunch Minecraft after replacing the file.
