☢️ Core Challenges and Lethal Threats
The mod focuses on four main threats that create atmospheric and mechanical challenges:
Acid Rain and Poisonous Sources:

Acid Rain: When it rains, all living entities without shelter (including the player and mobs) continuously take Poison damage.

Poisonous Water Sources:

Water Contact: All natural water sources in the world are poisonous. The player instantly gets a Poison effect upon touching or entering the water.

Dynamic Environment: As long as it is raining, normal Grass Blocks in the world have a random chance to turn into the poisonous DeadDirtBlock. This makes it impossible to establish a permanent surface shelter or farm.
🌱 Survival and Progression Cycle
To cope with these threats, the player must learn a completely new crafting and resource cycle:

New Food Source: Most surface life is extinct. The only reliable food source for survival is the SulphurBloom, which grows underground without sunlight.

Resilient Creatures: Rare creatures that have developed immunity to poisons, the PermianLizard, offer a protein source.

New Mining: For vital equipment, SulphurOre must be mined in the world's deepest and most dangerous layers. This ore is abundant below Y-level -1.

Protective Equipment: SulphurArmor (Sulfur Armor) and tools like the SulphurSword/Pickaxe, crafted from SulphurOre, are resistant to the challenges of this era.
⚔️ Final Quest: Changing the Era
The goal of the mod is not just to survive but to end the Great Extinction.

Apex Predator: The world's most dangerous prey must be hunted. The unique loot dropped by this predator (ApexHeart) is the key to the mod's final objective.
