What's new
Peon 1.1.0 — the depot update
An idle mining game that runs inside Minecraft. You get a plot, a rock face and a pickaxe; everything else you build.
New in this build
- The depot. The three foremen and the vendor now live in a hangar on your plot, behind doors that open as you walk up. One place to go when you want to spend.
- Forty pickaxes to buy for yourself, and ten for your miners — from the Apprentice to the Sovereign of the Depths. The tool changes shape in their hands at every tier.
- A new elevator, drawn floor by floor, with a dial you click to pick where the cage stops. The old minecart is gone.
- Timbered galleries: pit props every four blocks, hanging lanterns, and the rock of each depth on the walls.
- Fenced plots with a gate that swings open, and a slate sign by the road with your name and your earnings painted on it.
- A neighbour who stops playing lets the grass grow. Six hours and the meadow rises, three days and the flowers have dried. Come back and it is mowed for you.
- Chat and language menu rebuilt: two honest channels, grade badges, and fifteen languages behind a flag.
- Harder early game, a cartoon sky, and a mining hit that no longer takes seven seconds per block.
This is the client mod for the Peon server, not a standalone mod. It replaces the main menu with Peon's own; the game itself lives on the server.
