Play Pandora Radio in Minecraft

Description

Pandora Radio comes to Minecraft!

This client-side mod allows you to play your favorite songs from Pandora inside Minecraft.  It does not need to be installed on the server and won't do anything if you do.

NOTE: This mod depends on the open-source media player "VLC" to play audio tracks.  Please ensure you have VLC installed on your local machine before loading up Minecraft with this mod.  If you have installed VLC after starting your game, you will need to restart it.  You can get it here: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html

The default key-binding to access Pandora is F8.  You may change this is the standard controls Minecraft controls screen.  If you click on something and you get a blank screen, it's probably just being worked on and not fully implemented yet.  This mod is still in early development.

You can:

  • Create a Pandora Account
  • Log in to an existing Pandora Account
  • Add new radio stations
  • Play existing radio stations
  • Stream songs right from Pandora itself
  • Skip songs
  • Access Pandora through a proxy

You can not:

  • Download songs or save locally
  • Do anything else that may VIOLATE Pandora's ToS!

Features to be implemented in future updates:

  • Add Currently Playing screen
  • Add Playlist support
  • Add Station Info screen
  • Remove radio stations
  • Change audio quality
  • Change account settings
  • Change audio output device
  • Toggle-able in-game HUD showing the currently playing song

This mod does not claim any rights over Pandora's service and by using this mod, you agree to be bound by all of Pandora's legally binding contracts.  This mod merely provides a portal to access an already existing service. You must have a Pandora account to access Pandora's services.  Therefore, Pandora must be accessible in your country.  You can visit Pandora.com for more information.

This mod SHOULD work on all Java versions of Minecraft 1.16.2-1.16.4, but I am only able to test on Windows 10 and Debian.  If you run into issues running this mod in other environments or it doesn't work for you, please let me know.

In addition, this mod was created for Fabric and I will not be porting to Forge.  I will try to keep up with new versions of Minecraft as they come out, but I will not be back-porting to older versions.  I work a full time job and do modding in my spare time.  My life obviously comes first.  Updates/Patches/Bug fixes may not be available in a timely fashion.  If you'd like to help contribute, just let me know.
