Onyx

This is a mod for Minecraft Forge, so it will not work without it!

 

 

What it adds:

Onyx Mod adds a new halfgem (Onyx) and some other items to go with it:

• Onyx / Onyx Gem
• Onyx Ore
• Block of Onyx
• Onyx Stick (Just like a vanilla stick, but Onyx)
• Onyx Sword and Tools
• Full set of Onyx Armor
• Onyx Apple
• Smelting recipe for "rotten flesh > leather"

Onyx:

These items are worse than diamond, but better than iron.

The onyx apple is worse than god/notch apple, but better than regular golden apple.

 

 

FAQ

Q: How do I install this?

- A: Like almost all mods, it goes into the "mods" folder.

Q: Will you add ____?

- A: Probably not. This is my first mod, and I wanted to keep it simple so it won't be too much for a vanilla world.

Q: Why did you add a smelting recipe?

- A: Because rotten flesh is one of the most useless item in the game, and I wanted to make it more useful. I know there are others that have done the same but idc :)

Q: Will you make more mods?

- A: Maybe. This is my first ever mod and my first time ever coding Java. I will most likely try and learn more, it was a fun little project.

Q: Does it work with JEI?

- A: Well, it did for me :)

Q: Why does the ore not drop xp orbs when mined?

- A: Because, I don't want it to.

 

Multiplayer:

This has been tested on a server, but not for a long time. It's working, but your results may vary.

This mod can be used in any modpack, if you comment saying you'll use it, and link back to this page in your modpack's description :D If possible give me the link to your modpack. I want to try it out for myself ;)

 

Versions:

Currently this mod is only available for Minecraft version 1.12.2, until I figure out a way to update it. I am a newbie, okay :)
