Oathbound Relics is a dark fantasy mod built around burden, sacrifice, and forbidden power.

At the center of the mod is a single covenant item: the Oathbound Relic. Once accepted, it permanently brands the bearer and opens the path to relics, curios, and weapons that would otherwise remain dormant. The strongest artifacts in the mod are not simply found and used. They are earned through suffering, endurance, and long-term attunement.

Core Idea

The foundation of Oathbound Relics is simple:

The most powerful items should feel dangerous, rare, and meaningful. Strength should come with tradeoffs. Some relics are Oathbound-only and awaken only for the Branded. Other relics are free-bound and can be worn by anyone. Progression is built around enduring curses, unlocking forbidden tools, and choosing which burdens are worth carrying.

Oathbound Relics is meant to feel less like ordinary gear progression and more like entering a pact you cannot easily walk away from.
