CONTENTS
1972 Stock Mk.2 (2018) - Finally released!
This vehicle has no HUD in IV deliberately! You will need to learn how to start the real thing and press the correct buttons. This is blended with the normal IV control scheme for parking brake (dead mans handle), throttle and reverser.
A decadant London Underground train that only persists in it's tired existence as a result of budgetary struggle, in itself being devised as a stopgap to solve a greater rolling-stock shortage. Accompanying it, are uniquely configured "fourth-rail" models using IV's road mechanics (the mod has very basic rail mechanics, expect lots of bugs!) . This model was textured by Hashim, json'd by NaxGeneral, modelled by myself, and has been developed with a particular focus on authenticity. If you struggle to operate some of the more niche features, it may very well help you to study the operation of the real thing.
basic instructions : (This does not cover door or light controls, etc etc)
- flick the key behind you, bottom left of the cab, from its starting position (make it horizontal by clicking the air next to where it would be if it is on, if the key isnt in the slot then click the slot at the top in the off position and it should appear)
- the throttle will then move itself into the right position, as i cannot give you direct control over the throttle lever at this stage due to mts mechanics
- you can then click the audible warning reset valve, which is to your left on the wall, the bottom button on the panel (not the windscreen wiper)
- now the train is started, keyboard controls apply - this refers to "r" to set it into forward drive per mts gear controls, and then you can take off parking brake with "N", which in this means pressing the dead mans handle down
- holding w (or s to reduce throttle) will now make your train move, throttle will remain when you release the key
Known bug : the alternate noise on the horn doesnt activate properly, unsure if/when ill fix this
Crocodile APC -
The crocodile - a Rhodesian domestic built "APC" (steel garden shed, depending on your school of thought) of the late 70's - amid the height of the Bush War, tasked with protecting the 16(+2 crew). It provides around 8mm rolled-homogenous steel equivalent of penetration, a number I estimated given the fact the angled plates are 6mm ballistic mild steel, and the flat ones 10. In no uncertain terms, the chassis is overloaded, and I'd suspect possesses the automotive reliability only a T-34 could hope to rival.
V-1 Flying bomb - (REMOVED FOR REWORK)
Historically, an autonomous flying bomb designed to bring Mr. Hilter's vengance to the coast of Britain - "it will work this time guys!", he assured his cronies. Much the same as the real idea, my representation of the model in reality leaves quite a bit to be desired. The greatest elefant in the room is, the fact it's actually player controlled in the mod - partially mitigated by the fact i hide the player model when inside of it.
MXY-7 Ohka - (REMOVED FOR REWORK)
A Japanese designed Rocket-Propelled aircraft for the explicit purpose of Kamikaze attacks. The texture leaves much to be desired, aswell as the build quality (being my very first model) but we can pretend that's related to failing wartime Japanese industry or something. I'd say this implementation works quite a bit better in terms of capturing the real thing, with the main drawback being the severely limited fuel capacity - 15 seconds per engine in my interpretation, to account for the lack of proper deployment methods. This aircraft is not to be confused with other similarly shaped covid "essentials".
NOTES
- The spare wheels of the crocodile are best removed from the inside of the vehicle through the wall, and the main wheels by hitting the lower parts of said wheel.
