What's new

Added

  • Malum support:
    • A Spirit Altar, Spirit Crucible, or Runic Workbench with a pattern provider against it accepts a whole recipe at once and returns the result back to the provider instead of dropping it in-world, running at its own pace with its pedestals, augments, accelerators, and obelisks intact.
    • The Focused Spirit Matrix is a single block that stands in for all three. It keeps a spirit bank that counts as network storage and restocks itself, with a joker slot in the middle for other spirits that fills only for the craft that asks for it. It takes Runewood Obelisks as speed upgrades and focuses every node from one Matrix Impetus rather than one impetus per metal.
    • Matrix Catalyzers in the Matrix cut focusing time, mend the impetus, chain one craft into the next, and roll fortune on the output. An impetus that wears out fractures in the slot, but it can be repaired via a Repair Pylon.
    • Pure and Radiant Spirits are two new spirit types. A Pure Spirit comes from reaped boss souls, and a Weeping Well trades one for an Umbral Spirit. A Radiant Spirit binds all spirits at once.
    • The Rite of Preservation and the Rite of Reaping, two totem rites carved with a Pure Spirit. Preservation stops a Focused Spirit Matrix or Spirit Crucible in range spending impetus durability, and Reaping rends spent monsters and pulls the loose spirits into a reachable network.
    • NEP's items that sit behind Malum's Chronicles of the Void now say so on the tooltip rather than looking like items with no recipe, and stop saying it the moment revelation is granted.
  • Ars Nouveau support:
    • A correctly built Enchanting Apparatus and Enchanting Core take a whole craft at once from a pattern provider against either block, filling its Arcane Pedestals from the network. Enchanted books run level by level, and an armour upgrade takes any piece at the tier below and returns it with its threads and enchantments intact.
    • An Imbuement Chamber runs from a pattern that carries only the reagent, while the items you set on its pedestals stay put from one craft to the next.
    • An Import Card on the provider brings each result back into the network.
    • The Arcane Lectern sends a Scribe's Table within range the glyph reagents it is missing, straight out of the network, only while the table asks for them.
    • The Ritual Conductor, which arms a nearby Ritual Brazier from the network, lights the ritual on its own, and can be told to wait for a chosen weather or time of day first.
    • The Arcane Enchanting Matrix is a single block that stands in for the Enchanting Apparatus and the Imbuement Chamber with no pedestals built around it. It keeps a configurable 100,000 Source store fed by Source Relays, Source Jars within reach, or the ME network through Ars Énergistique. It takes an imbuement recipe's pedestal items from the network for the duration of the recipe, and takes Accelerate and Dampen glyphs to craft faster and cheaper.
  • Manual crafting support for matrices.
    • Press a recipe's transfer button in JEI with the Matrix open and its ingredients move from your inventory into the machine, with the result left in the output buffer instead of going to the network.
    • Shift-click queues as many crafts as you can pay for.
    • Missing items are highlighted in JEI.
  • ExtendedAE pattern viewing. Its view hotkey now opens NEP pattern types.
  • AE2LT Tianshu Pattern Encoding Terminal, its wireless form included, encodes NEP pattern types exactly as AE2's own terminal does.
  • Matrix tooltips naming the mod and the recipe types each Matrix runs.
  • Matrix charging from the ME network. A Matrix that runs short of FE now takes the energy a craft needs from the network's own power instead of stalling, leaving the last tenth of it in reserve so the network doesn't power off. This lets power kept inside the ME system itself pay for a craft.
  • Pattern Decoder, a gate on encoding NEP patterns. When enabled, a Pattern Encoding Terminal only encodes a mod's NEP patterns when a powered Decoder on its network carries that mod's Encoding Module, and writes a plain Processing Pattern otherwise. Off by default.

Fixed

  • Fusion crafting now prioritizes using an item the network already has wherever the recipe itself accepts one. Tier upgrades consume existing charged, module-fitted, or enchanted capacitors and tools in storage instead of crafting a blank lower tier first, and everything that item carried rides along onto the result.
  • Miniaturization recipes whose empty positions are a block component holding air now offer a recipe transfer button and no longer charge air as an ingredient or spend build ticks placing it.
  • Sandpaper polishing, and any deploying recipe whose tool a Deployer wears down rather than consumes, now automate at a Depot. The pattern lends the tool at whatever durability the network has one at, gets it back a point worse, and asks for nothing back on the polish that breaks it, so part-used sheets are ordinary stock instead of items stranded in the Deployer.
  • Outputs that carry data component information now automate at every Matrix and at the Sequenced Assembly Controller. A pattern whose result is enchanted, damaged, dyed, filled or otherwise stamped is accepted rather than refused, two variants of the same item queue as separate jobs, and each one goes back to the network in the form its pattern named.
  • Import Card now collects a craft's fluid results as well as its items, so a Create Basin recipe that leaves a fluid behind no longer strands it in the basin.
  • Matrix energy readouts follow the buffer as it charges instead of jumping in coarse steps and sitting still in between. A large or non-round buffer capacity no longer leaves a full Matrix reading short of its own capacity, and a Fusion Matrix with upgrade cores in it keeps the energy above the base capacity across a chunk reload instead of losing it.

Changed

  • Matrix block textures are now an open frame with a glowing sphere turning inside them. The core drifts while the Matrix is idle, spins up and brightens as a craft runs, flares when the craft lands, and judders in place when the Matrix stalls. Every Matrix family has its own core art, and neighbouring Matrices are offset from one another so a wall of them never turns in lockstep. The Sequenced Assembly Matrix has a shaft port at each end of its axis, with a stub that turns with the network.
  • Machine Hub, Miniaturization Controller, and Sequenced Assembly Controller models in place of their plain cubes.
  • GuideMe recipe compat is now its own separate mod.
