Backporting and tweaking The Nether Update to 1.12

Description

Netherized is a mod focused on backporting the major features of 1.16, the Nether Update, along with additonal tweaks. Currently, the mod is in heavy alpha, meaning it's unstable and has very few features. But that will change in the future with more and more updates. If you're an experienced modder and want to help me on this mod, please contact me.

Content List:

Items:

Netherite Items, Tools, and Armor

The knockback resistance and the fireproof item mechanics are also here! They are made by combining netherite ingots with diamond tools in an anvil.

Netherite Horse Armor

There's not much beneath the surface for this item, it's what you'd expect. It's an upgrade to the diamond horse armor, gives knockback resistance and more protection to the horse. Made with combining a diamond horse armor with a netherite ingot in an anvil.

Brute'l Axe

The axe of the Piglin Brute. This weapon deals extra percentage damage based on how much health your target still has. It has a cooldown based on how much damage you applied so it cannot be used all the time, but still useful for opening battles since that's when your opponent is at max health.

Infernal Helmet

This helmet is supposed to halfen the damage the player recieves from any fire sources, and give off vision in the lava. However, only the former has been implemented so far and the latter is still being worked upon.

Infernal Shield

A shield that sets the attackers on fire and knocks them back further than normal. And while both of these features are here, the item still needs to be worked upon and may cause bugs or even crashes.

Other

-Warped Fungus on a Stick, used to ride Striders.

-Pigstep Music Disc, enjoy the beat

Blocks:

Blackstone, and it's Polished variations

Netherite Block

It can be used to build beacons

Crying & Glowing Obsidian

Currently both exist for decoration, but they both will have a functionality in the future.

Nether Ores

Introducing from the Comfortable Nether Mod: Iron Rich Basalt and Withering Remains. Permission from the author was taken to add these ores to this mod.

Nether Vegetation Blocks

Crimson

Warped

Crimson and Warped Wood Blocks

Lodestone

It functions just like the vanilla lodestone, with the additional feature to turn the lodestone compass back into a normal compass with shift-right-click.

Respawn Anchor

While not a one-on-one backport, it still functions properly and does it's job well. Don't forget to set your spawn point again after respawning!

Infernal Reactor

Acting as a fire resistance beacon, this block is meant to be built in your nether bases. It's implementation is still buggy and incomplete, but still semi-works.

4 gold blocks in the bottom and top layers' corners, the rest except the middle layer filled with obsidian, and in the middle layer obsidian corners and the reactor core. That's how the reactor is built.

Soul Soil & Soul Fire Blocks

Entities

Strider

Hovering Inferno

Currently acts like a normal blaze, will be changed in the future with proper AI and battle mechanics.

Additional Content

Fireproof Item System

In the config file of the mod, you can make items fireproof. All you need to do is to put the name of the item into the config file(Note: Doesn't work with metadatas), and then you're good to go.

Hoe Harvesting System

Additionally, the hoe-harvesting system also has been implemented. Enter the blocks you want in the list in the config file, and keep in mind that all the leaf blocks are already in the list and cannot be removed.

 Soul Block System

You can also set which blocks you want in the game to trigger soul speed and turn fire into soul fire. It's just as simple as the lists above.
