Nation Wars 0.1.8 Beta
This beta focuses on making the main systems easier to use in-game and smoother to test on servers.
New UI Work
- Added a
/nation createmenu: pick an available doctrine first, then type the nation name in chat. - Doctrines already used by another nation no longer appear in the creation menu.
- Added a
/nationsmenu with country block icons:- Germany: Netherite Block
- Soviet Union: Redstone Block
- United States: Diamond Block
- France: Iron Block
- United Kingdom: Lapis Block
- Italy: Emerald Block
- Romania: Copper Block
/nationsnow hides doctrine and ideology details, keeping that information in the doctrine UI instead.- Added a
/warand/war statusmenu for active wars, justifications, join requests, peace, and surrender command hints.
War Capture Changes
- War capture progress now appears as a Minecraft boss bar instead of only chat/timer text.
- Leaving an enemy chunk no longer resets capture progress immediately.
- Capture progress decays slowly while the attacker is away and resumes if they return before it reaches zero.
- Capture progress pauses when a defender is present in the chunk.
Claim And Map Improvements
- NationWars now tries to name mirrored Open Parties and Claims claims after the nation instead of the player.
- The mod continues to mirror claims into Open Parties and Claims for Xaero minimap/world map overlays.
- Startup OPAC syncing remains in place so claims recover after restarting a world/server.
Fixes And Cleanup
- Fixed pending nation creation prompts being able to linger after logout, restart, joining another nation, or reopening the menu.
- Fixed a possible invalid/blank nation name path after selecting a doctrine.
- Cleaned up old nation creation command state from the first UI version.
- Updated the README for the new 0.1.8 testing flow.
This is still marked as beta because the new UI flow and OPAC/Xaero claim naming need more multiplayer testing.
