Character Stories batch 5: history, the Otsutsuki, Kara and the new era

• 39 new Character Stories (161 chapters, each opening with its own cutscene). Every character in the roster now has one: 145 stories, 855 chapters.
• History: Madara, Izuna, Hizashi, Hanabi, Fugaku, Mikoto, Sakumo Hatake, Ibiki, White Zetsu and Shin Uchiha.
• The Otsutsuki: Kaguya, Hagoromo, Hamura, Indra, Asura, Toneri, Momoshiki, Kinshiki, Isshiki and Urashiki.
• The new era: Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki, Kawaki, Himawari, Shikadai, Inojin, Chocho, Metal Lee, Sumire and Mirai.
• Kara: Code, Eida, Daemon, Koji Kashin, Amado, Delta, Boro and Jura.
• Four more lore characters join the stories they belong in: Tajima Uchiha, Madara and Izuna's father; Hidari, the God Tree at Jura's side; and Boruto's classmates Iwabee Yuino and Denki Kaminarimon (with a new Academy chapter).
• 127 new jutsu for them, including:

  • Indra's Destructive Jinrai and Asura's Kunitsukami

The main story, retold

• The Shinobi Chronicles arcs are two to three times longer (109 chapters, up from 47) and follow the series more closely. Every chapter opens with its own cutscene, and you stand in it yourself, with your own skin, beside the canon cast.
• Three new arcs: The Itachi Pursuit (after the Immortal Duo), The Five Kage Summit (after Pain's Assault) and The Last (Toneri and the falling moon, after Kaguya).
• New chapters include Itachi's return to the Leaf, the battle of the Three Sannin, the Hozuki brothers, Jiraiya's last battle, Almighty Push, Nagato, the Raikage's fury, Danzo's end, the Island Turtle, Neji's choice, the Hokage reanimated, Night Guy, the final Valley of the End, Urashiki and Kawaki.
• Old saves carry over: a finished arc stays finished, and a half-done arc picks up at the chapter that replaced the next one you hadn't played. A chapter in progress restarts.
• Every retold chapter is translated into Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese.

Full tailed beast transformation

• Every jinchuriki can now become their whole beast, as Killer B, Yugito, Yagura, Roshi, Han, Utakata and Fu did. It is the last step of the Tailed Beast Cloak: press the Mode key once more after the partial transformation (Jonin and up). Tailed Beast Mode now jumps straight to it. For Naruto it is Tailed Beast Mode in Kurama's chakra; for Gaara, Shukaku wakes. The Ten-Tails' hosts never became the beast, so their ladder still ends at the partial form.
• You are drawn as the beast's own model, three to four blocks tall. It walks with you, roars as it appears, and claws, bites, stomps or whips its tail on every full-strength blow. Each blow splashes onto enemies nearby.
• As the beast you see from its head. The third-person camera stands back so the beast fits, and your hands are hidden in first person.
• The whole beast gives more max health, strength, resistance and regeneration, plus a giant's reach (+4.5 blocks). Each beast keeps its own nature: Chomei flies, Kokuo is faster, Isobu and Shukaku are tougher, and Kurama and Gyuki hit harder.

Pain's summons and the lore's supporting cast

• The Animal Path summons the eight beasts from the series, each with its own model and behaviour: the multi-headed dog splits when struck, the drill-beaked bird dives, the rhino and ox charge, the chameleon turns invisible, the crustacean blows bubbles, the centipede poisons and the panda shields its summoner.
• Summoning: Rinnegan and Six Paths of Pain call the real Path bodies instead of clones.
• 32 new lore characters (the other five Paths, Mizuki, Ebisu, Dan, Nawaki, Hana and Tsume Inuzuka, Shibi and Torune, Hayate, Chiriku, Gato and more) replace the generic ninja who stood in for them in Character Stories.
