What is Murim?

Murim brings the world of Wuxia and Xianxia cultivation novels into Minecraft.

Start as a mere mortal, awaken your spiritual destiny, and ascend through the heavens by meditating, fighting, crafting pills, joining sects, and surviving heavenly tribulations.

Every player begins with a unique:

• Spiritual Root (cultivation speed)
• Constitution (passive bonuses)

These are rolled at first login.

Your journey through six realms of power is shaped by your choices: which sect to join, which skills to master, and whether you can endure the trials ahead.

The Lore

In a world where Qi flows through all living things, few possess the talent to harness it.

Those who do are called Cultivators — martial artists who defy the heavens themselves.

You awaken in this world with a spark of potential.

• Your Spiritual Root determines how quickly you can absorb the world's energy
• Your Constitution shapes your body's affinity

Some are blessed with Heavenly roots and Immortal bodies. Others must struggle with Mortal roots — yet even they can reach the peak through determination.

The Great Sects

Two great sects vie for dominance:

Azure Sky Sect (Orthodox Path)

Followers of harmony with the Dao, seeking power through patience and wisdom.

Blood Moon Sect (Demonic Path)

Practitioners who devour to ascend, consuming the life force of their enemies.

Heavenly Tribulations

As you grow stronger, the heavens themselves will test you.

Heavenly Tribulations consist of:

• Storms of lightning
• Waves of spiritual beasts

Fail, and lose everything.
Succeed, and transcend your limits.

Your Path

Will you walk the righteous path, or embrace the darkness?

The Dao does not judge. Only strength matters in the end.

• 6 Realms of Power:
  Mortal → Body Refinement → Qi Condensation → Foundation → Golden Core → Nascent Soul
• Spiritual Roots:
  5 tiers from Mortal (0.5x speed) to Heavenly (2.0x speed)
• Constitutions:
  7 types including:
  • Immortal Body (HP regeneration)
  • Chaos Body (mixed bonuses)
  • Demonic Body (+damage, -Qi efficiency)
• Meditation & Study:
  Meditate to gain Qi and XP, or study to increase technique comprehension
• Breakthrough System:
  Fill XP and Qi, meditate, and attempt to advance to the next realm
• Heavenly Tribulations:
  Required to progress beyond Foundation

Quick Start Guide

1. First login: receive Spiritual Root and Constitution
2. Press G to meditate and gain Qi + XP
3. Kill mobs for XP and Spirit Stones
4. Craft pills using the Mortar
5. Press K to assign skills
6. Press B to attempt breakthrough (requires full Qi + XP)
7. Find Sect Elders to join a faction
8. Survive tribulations to continue progressing

No additional dependencies required.

• Photon (particle mod) for enhanced visuals
