What's new

MultiCore Helper: Coffee Expansion 1.1.1

Village coffee shops

  • Added redesigned 13 x 15 modern village coffee shops for Plains, Desert, Savanna, Taiga, and Snowy villages.
  • Rebuilt each shop with a glass storefront, dark structural frame, flat skylight roof, rooftop greenery, entrance planters, warm wood interior and a realistic linear barista workflow.
  • Added matching abandoned variants for zombie villages, including damaged roofs, broken windows, cobwebs, and separate stale-stock loot.
  • Added Barista and Zombie Barista residents, Coffee Machine workstations, linear service counters, seating, storage, lighting, and editable coffee-shop signs.
  • Added normal shop supply chests with cups, coffee fruit, green beans, light-roast beans, and a small chance of finished coffee.
  • Injected each shop into its matching village house pool with a generation weight calibrated from 100-village superflat samples. Only newly generated village pieces are affected.

Cafe furniture

  • Added connecting Cafe Counters, directional Cafe Tables, sit-able Cafe Chairs, and nine-slot Cafe Shelves.
  • Cafe Shelves only accept coffee drinks, cups, beans, grounds, bags, milk pitchers, and coffee tools.
  • Added an internal seat entity with automatic cleanup when a player leaves, the chair is removed, or the seat becomes unused.
  • Added standing and wall-mounted Coffee Bean Shop Signs with editable and dyeable vanilla sign text.
  • Fixed Coffee Bean Shop Signs rendering as a large magenta/black missing-texture board by registering their 1.16.5 wood type before atlas stitching.
  • Existing placeable cups can be displayed and recovered on the new tables and counters.
  • Reworked counters, tables, chairs and shelves with refined concrete, charcoal stone, warm wood and dark-metal materials; counters now visually connect to adjacent counter blocks.

Guide and localization

  • Added the cafe furniture and village coffee shop chapter to the Barista Guide.
  • Added English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese names and instructions.
  • Fixed the Coffee Bean Bag screen at GUI scale 3x; it now displays exactly four storage slots, matching its real 4 x 64 capacity, while the inventory and hotbar remain fully inside the background.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed the Coffee Grinder and Coffee Machine being generated one block behind the service counter in all five normal and five abandoned village shop templates.
  • Fixed a severe client crash when using Cafe Chairs. The invisible cafe_seat entity renderer is now registered during the correct Forge client setup phase and is explicitly excluded from rendering.
  • Fixed Coffee Machines not being recognized as Barista workstations, which prevented unemployed villagers from becoming Baristas.
  • Added startup validation for the Forge 1.16.5 Coffee Machine-to-Barista POI index so the profession cannot silently disappear again.
  • Fixed filling the final Empty Experience Jar in a hand deleting the newly created Condensed Experience Jar.
  • Filling one jar now replaces the held item correctly; when filling from a stack, the remaining empty jars stay in hand and the filled jar goes to the inventory or drops safely if full.
  • Added the missing Caffeine Fatigue effect icon.
  • Replaced the invalid milk ingredient tag with Coffee Expansion's milk-container tag.
  • Wrapped Ex Nihilo: Sequentia and Botany Pots compatibility recipes in Forge mod-loaded conditions, preventing recipe errors when those optional mods are absent.

Validation

  • Built with Java 8 and validated all JSON resources.
  • Verified all ten structure templates and required resources in the release JAR.
  • Confirmed successful Forge 1.16.5 dedicated-server startup and all ten Jigsaw Pool injections.
  • Corrected the shop entrance connector to use the vanilla building_entrance Jigsaw identity; verified natural Coffee Shop generation in a fresh Superflat test world.
  • Calibrated the final house-pool weight to 12: 29 of 100 independently sampled Superflat villages generated a complete shop, within the 25-40% target.
  • Verified all 29 sampled shops contained their Coffee Machine, editable shop sign, modern counters, and dedicated supply chest.
  • Confirmed successful client startup and furniture/sign model loading.

This addon requires MultiCore Helper 1.0.6 or newer.
