Description
📘 About this mod:
mOres adds 17 tools, armor, extra weapons and horse armor!
These new weapons include:
Daggers
Battleaxes
Maces
Each of which have their own unique damage & speed modifiers.
New Shields with unique stats (damage reduction* & durability, configurable in the config file).
Several new metals and gems, that may be combined using an
Alloy Furnace (dual input)
that combines materials to make even stronger materials such as:
Bronze
Carbon Steel
Sterling Silver
Graphene
It also adds one entity, the Duck
- It can be bred and drops raw duck meat that can be cooked.
- It lays golden nuggets the same way chickens lay eggs.
- Can be spawned using duck eggs which can be found in shipwrecks and pillager outposts.
- For versions 1.12 - 1.19 the duck's natural generation may be enabled in the config called 'mores-common.toml' (natural generation is now off by default)

1.20.2 / 1.20.3 / 1.20.4 / 1.20.6 - Complete, but no Alloy Furnace, Alloy Smithing Templates instead
- Alloy Smithing Templates temporarily replacing the Alloy Furnace
- Autosmelting on ruby tools (can now be disabled in config)
- Trimmable armor & materials
- Also has all materials, blocks, armor, tools, food items, creative tabs etc.
- All shields, configurable (remove windup & configure percentile blocking - cannot configure durability)
- Shields can also be decorated with banners (fully compatible)
- Duck can still be spawned manually using duck eggs found in Pillager Outposts & Shipwrecks
- No more configurable ore / entity (duck) spawning - duck does not spawn, ores always do
1.20.1 - RECOMMENDED
- Last working version with Alloy Furnace
- Autosmelting on ruby tools (can now be disabled in config)
- Trimmable armor & materials
- Also has all materials, blocks, armor, tools, food items, creative tabs etc.
- All shields, configurable (remove windup & configure percentile blocking - cannot configure durability)
- Shields can also be decorated with banners (fully compatible)
- Duck can still be spawned manually using duck eggs found in Pillager Outposts & Shipwrecks
- No more configurable ore / entity (duck) spawning - duck does not spawn, ores always do
1.20 Incomplete, unsupported
1.19.4 - Complete, but not the best
- Config is scattered, forced tooltips
- Better mod compatibility because of Forge tags
- Blasting obsidian in a blast furnace and smithing obsidian armor
- Also has the shields (windup configurable, not sure about durability - W.I.P.)
- Does have breedable duck, but no natural spawning
- Ore generation not configurable anymore
1.19.3 - Fairly complete, but unsupported now
1.19.2 - Complete, recommended
- Configurable tooltips for all armor (including horse) and configuration properly sorted
- Also has the shields (only durability configurable, always 100% damage reduction)
- Also has breedable duck (configurable spawn)
- Also has all materials, blocks, armor, tools, food items, creative tabs etc.
- Ore generation fully configurable
- Added overworld & nether anthracite ore
- Added nether ruby & nether sapphire ores
- Added Sweet Caroline music disc
1.18.2 - Complete, recommended
- Better mod compatibility because of Forge tags
- Blasting obsidian in a blast furnace and smithing obsidian armor
- Blocks can now be used for beacon
- Also has the shields (configurable) with possible Thorns enchantment from 1.16
- Also has breedable duck (configurable spawn)
- Ore generation can be disabled per ore in the config (but not the spawnrates/height in this version)
- Added Chocolate, Carrot pie, Velvet, Cobalt Apple & Cipher music disc
1.16.5 - Complete, supported
- Added raw materials & blocks (raw copper, tin, silver, cobalt) + silver/bronze nugget
- Added shields (configurable damage reduction/durability) with possible Thorns enchantment
- Ore generation can be disabled per ore in the config (but not the spawnrates/height in this version)
- Added breedable duck (configurable spawn)
- Added silver & bronze apple
- Removed rooiekool
1.12.2 - Complete, but outdated and unsupported
- Alloy Furnace (Bronze, Sterling Silver, Steel, Turquartz, Graphene)
- Turquartz instead of Turquoise
- Rooiekool (food/fuel item)

Q: Will you keep updating older versions?
A: Yes. I will prioritise updating versions 1.18.2+ but I might also update 1.12.2 / 1.16.5 on request.
Q: Will you make a fabric version?
A: Yes it's here.
Q: Will you backport to any older versions than 1.12.2?
A: No. I prefer to keep my attention on the latest versions.
