Description
More Candles
Adds candle blocks that follow vanilla design language while introducing subtle mechanical depth.
Designed with a Vanilla+ philosophy — drop-in usability, natural integration with the base game, and room for future themed variants without rewriting core systems.
Main Features
Redstone Candle
Looks like a candle, but behaves closer to a redstone torch and can be used directly in circuits.
- Emits redstone power by default
- Can be used as a compact inverting component
- Signal strength scales with candle count in the same block (1–4 candles: 3 / 7 / 11 / 15)
- Provides soft lighting and redstone-style particle effects for visual feedback
Soul Candle
An atmospheric light source themed around soul fire, designed primarily for building and environmental use.
- Cool-toned lighting with soul flame visuals, occasionally producing soul particles
- Fits Nether bases, ruins, underground areas, and darker builds
- Placement and interaction follow vanilla candle behavior
Piglin Interaction (MobCivics 0.4.0 or newer)
When MobCivics 0.4.0 is installed, lit Soul Candles are recognized by Piglins as a repellent light source.
- Only active while the candle is lit, similar to a soul campfire
- Works as a normal light source if MobCivics is not installed
- No hard dependency — safe to include without causing crashes or load errors
End Candle
A mysterious candle variant inspired by the End dimension, producing subtle particles similar to End Rod effects.
- Emits soft End-themed particles while lit
- Includes small End flame visuals (purple flame)
- Fits End builds, alien structures, and arcane environments
Scented Candles
Functional candle variants that emit subtle aura effects while lit.
Currently available:
- Poppy Scent — Grants Night Vision when exposed long enough
- Allium Scent — Grants Fire Resistance when exposed long enough
Effects apply within a limited radius and require continuous exposure.
Scent Interaction
Different scents do not mix.
- Exposure to multiple scented candles at once causes nausea
- Includes a small advancement referencing vanilla’s “cocktail” mechanic
- Encourages deliberate placement rather than stacking multiple effects in one area
Candle Holders
- It is a feature for Supplementaries compatibility. Most candles have its candle holder variants.
