Mob control rod allows you to tame almost any mob (from other mods too). But before it, you must charge this rod by souls of killed enemies. To do that, you need just hold rod in off-hand while killing mobs. (For mobs that have 30hp or more, you will take additional souls for every 15 hp target has: for 30 hp-mob you will take 2 souls, for 45hp mob - 3 souls etc).

Tamed mob will protect you like a dog by attacking enemies are attacking you; it will attack targets you attack and follow you.

To tame mob, you must hold rod IN OFF-HAND (it's important!) and right-click on it. you will spend as many souls as the target had HP at the time you clicked on it.

To craft a rod, you need to get some souls of different mobs by killing them. The soul drops from a mob with a 10% chance (Exceptions: from a ghast and from a brutal piglin there is a 50% chance).

Soul drops like an item, and from this souls you can craft three cores: overvorld core, hell core and golem core. Recipes will be at pictures below.

Text recipe format:

1. Overworld core = zombie soul+creeper soul+skeleton soul+enderman soul+spider soul

2. Hell core = piglin soul+brutal piglin soul+ghast soul+hoglin soul+blaze soul+zombified piglin soul+wither skeleton soul

3. Golem core: snow golem soul+iron golem soul

And from smelting iron golem soul you get 4 iron blocks! From smelting snow golem soul, you get pumpkin.

(2.0.0+): Nametag is not spent if it was used on a tamed mob!

(2.1.0+): Now you can ride any of your tamed mobs! You need hold nothing IN BOTH HANDS and right-click on your mob. You can control their movement by holding carrot on a stick.
