Patch 1.1 BETA update:

-The GUI has been updated

-Minions can now be named
-Minions can now be dyed
-You can now command the minions to pick up friendly entities, or yourself
-You can now command the minions to mine horizontally
-Minions can now place stairs when mining a mineshaft
