Features
- Added Pavers! These new incarnations of M4's Road blocks behave much in the same way, increasing your walking speed when stepped on.
- Unlike M4's Roads, Pavers are a separate block from their soil, and can be placed on any solid block rather than specific types of dirt.
- Pavers can also be placed on Grass Paths or Farmland, which will make them flush with the ground rather than 1px tall.
- Paved Farmland can still sustain all the usual crops, and cannot be trampled by any means. However, it does not gain the "wet" bonus of normal Farmland when Water is present, so crops will grow slightly slower.
- Pavers come in 7 varieties -- Red Rock, Stone, Coldstone, Icestone, Oceanstone, Netherrack, and End Stone. The 5 Overworld Stone types all share the same speed, while Netherrack and End Stone Pavers increase your speed even further.
- Pavers are crafted with 3 Chunks, 3 "foundation" items (Clay Balls, Snowballs, Mud Balls, etc), and 3 Soil Blocks. The exact ingredients vary by Paver type, so see JEI for details.
- Re-added Desert Quartz Deposits from M4! Unlike M4's piddly little micro-towers, however, M5's Desert Quartz Deposits generate in massive, cone-shaped spires, which only generate partially-lodged in the sides of hills.
- Desert Quartz Ore comes in two varieties -- normal and Sandy. Normal Desert Quartz Ore only drops one Desert Quartz when harvested, while Sandy Desert Quartz Ore has a 50% chance to drop one Salt instead.
- The color of Sand also corresponds to the biome, with Mesas generating Red Sandy Quartz Ore in their spires. Sandy Quartz Ore can also be harvested with Silk Touch and frozen into Cold Sandy Quartz Ore using a full set of Glacierite Armor.
- Re-added Desert Quartz decorative blocks from M4! Comes in Polished, Chiseled, and Pillar variants, just like Nether Quartz.
- Added Desert Quartz Slabs, Panels, and Stairs.
- Re-added Irradiant Quartz decorative blocks from M4! Comes in Polished, Chiseled, and Pillar variants.
- Added Irradiant Quartz Slabs, Panels, and Stairs.
- Added Rock Crystal Deposits! These small crystalline growths generate on the sides of Desert Quartz spires, and drop a Rock Crystal when harvested.
- Rock Crystal Deposits can be harvested with Silk Touch and placed on any side of a solid block, just like Sunstone Deposits.
- Rock Crystal Deposits glow in the dark, but do not actually emit light, somewhat like Magma.
- Added Block of Rock Crystal. Decorative storage block crafted from 9 Rock Crystals. Semitransparent and glows in the dark like Rock Crystal Deposits.
- Added Mooshroom Hide. Dropped by Mooshrooms instead of Cow Hide. Can be tanned into more advanced Leathers than most normal Hides.
- Added Creeper Carapace. Dropped rarely by Creepers. Cannot be tanned into normal Leathers, but can be Mana-Cured and tanned into Mystic/Legendary Leather.
- Added Ghast Hide. Dropped by Ghasts. Can be tanned both into normal Leathers and Mystic/Legendary Leather.
- Added Mana-Cured Hides. Obtained by curing a Mooshroom, Polar Bear, Creeper, or Ghast Hide with Smelling Salts instead of regular Salts. Mana-Cured Hides can be scudded into Mystic or Legendary Scudded Hides, which is the only way of obtaining these Leather tiers.
- Added Mystic and Legendary Leather. Two new Leather tiers above Fine Leather, which can only be obtained by tanning a Mystic/Legendary Scudded Hide using a Bottle of Void Jam instead of Tannic. Currently used for crafting Activators/Axial Hang Gliders, will get more uses in the next update.
- Added Axial Anchors. Crafting ingredients for space-altering blocks and items like Stasis Fields or Axial Gliders. Crafted with a Magnet, Glowshroom Bauble, Redstone Dust, four Rock Crystals, and two Dimensium Nuggets. Comes in Red, Green, and Blue varieties.
- Added Axial Stasis Fields! Expensive tech block that completely halts all vertical momentum of entities within a 5x5 block range when powered by Redstone.
- An Axial Stasis Field's range is displayed via a particle effect surrounding it when powered -- any entity that comes in contact with the particles will be suspended, no matter where they entered from.
- Some specific entity interactions, such as Boats or Minecarts, may be a little flaky, but they work well with Players, Mobs, Items, and Projectiles.
- Added Dimensium Glider Frame. Crafting ingredient required for the Axial Hang Glider. Crafted with a Dimensium Plating, four Axial Anchors, a Nether Star, two Dimensional Rope, and a Reinforced Stick.
- Added Axial Hang Gliders! Extremely expensive tier-three Hang Glider, crafted with a Dimensium Glider Frame, two Wooden Hang Gliders, an Advanced Technical Doodad, an Axial Stasis Field, two Effervexcence, and two Legendary Leather.
- When held, Axial Hang Gliders prevent all vertical momentum. This includes falling, jumping, mob knockback, anything that would cause you to change your position on the Y axis.
- Unlike other Hang Gliders, Axial Hang Gliders provide no movement speed increase, meaning Wooden or Reinforced Hang Gliders are still faster for long-distance travel.
- Since Axial Hang Gliders don't receive any updraft from Fire or Lava, it is technically impossible to damage or break them via normal use.
- Added Skeletal Hand. Crafting item dropped very rarely by Skeletons, Strays, and Wither Skeletons. Looting does not increase the chance, but can allow one Skeleton to drop two Hands.
- Added Potion of Efficiency. New potion type brewed with a Skeletal Hand in a Mundane Base. Can be extended with Redstone or amplified with Glowstone Dust, and grants Haste when consumed.
- Added Potion of Lethargy. New potion type brewed by adding a Fermented Spider Eye to a Potion of Efficiency. Can be extended with Redstone or amplified with Glowstone Dust, and inflicts Mining Fatigue when consumed.
- Added Reanimated Arm. Crafted with a Skeletal Hand, a Bone, all three Axial Anchors, Rope, and an Advanced Technical Doodad. Mostly a crafting item required for Autonomous Activators, but can be used as a weapon as well.
- Reanimated Arms have a very low attack power, and a swing speed somewhere between Daggers and Swords. However, they are completely unbreakable, and can even be enchanted with any non-damage-boosting weapon enchantment via Book, including Fire Aspect, Knockback, and Looting.
- Reanimated Arms also harvest all blocks slightly faster, just like Swords, and can be used to harvest Webs for String as well.
- Added Autonomous Activators! The most versatile automation feature in the mod thus far, they are also very expensive to craft: requiring four Bedrock, a Reanimated Arm, two Mystic Leather, a Piston, and a Dispenser.
- When powered by Redstone, an Activator will interact with any block/entity in front of it as if a player had right-clicked that spot.
- Autonomous Activators have only one slot in their inventory, similar to Pipes. The item placed in this slot will be used when the Activator is activated, to the same effect as if a player right-clicked while holding it.
- Activator interactions cover nearly every possible block/item/entity interaction within Vanilla and Minestrapp. This includes (but ins not even close to limited to):
- Activating Buttons/Levers/Doors/Fence Gates will trigger/open them.
- Activating Farmland while holding a Hoe will till it.
- Activating a block while holding another block will place the held block.
- Activating a Sheep while holding Shears will shear the Sheep and damage the Shears.
- Activating a Candle with a Flint and Steel will light the Candle and damage the Flint and Steel.
- Activating a fully grown Berry Bush will harvest the berries. Activating a growing Berry Bush with Bonemeal will grow it and consume the Bone Meal.
- Activating a Mooshroom with a Bowl will milk it, consuming the Bowl and dropping a Mushroom Stew.
- Literally any block/entity right-click interaction within Minestrapp and Vanilla should work as expected.
- Autonomous Activators have a 2-block range when right-clicking blocks. If the first block in front of it is empty, it will interact with the next block behind it instead.
- Items produced by Activator interactions (Milk Buckets from Cows, empty Glass Bottles from extinguishing Candles, Berries from Bushes, etc) will drop on the ground one block in front of the Activator.
- Tools used by Activators can be damaged and break, just like if a player was using them.
- For crash safety reasons, most blocks with inventories or tile entities cannot be placed by Activators.
- Interactions with other mods' content might be a bit flaky, but basic interactions like opening other mods' custom doors or placing their blocks should work fine in most cases.
- Added Buried Hearts! These glowing treasure spots generate very rarely throughout the Overworld, Nether, and End. They can only generate on soil-like blocks (Grass, Sand, Gravel, Soul Sand, Portal Dust, etc), and when the block below them is broken (or tilled), they drop 1 Heart Piece! The intent with these is to fix some issues with the mod's early-game health progression, so I may alter the generation rates later depending on how they feel after some more survival gameplay testing.
- Added new advancements.
- Added new worldgen config options.
Changes
- Temporarily disabled Basket functionality. They're still obtainable, but no longer prevent items inside from despawning. This behavior will likely be re-implemented in some other form in a later update.
- Berry Bushes now drop their Berries if broken while fully-grown.
- Daylight Detectors, Comparators, and Observers can now be crafted with any type of Quartz, instead of just Nether Quartz.
- Daylight Detectors are now crafted using Rock Crystals instead of Glass.
- Cake is now crafted using Dough instead of Wheat.
- Saplings can now be Crushed into 5-6 Sticks.
- Slate can now be Crushed into Clay, with a chance of dropping 1 Desert Quartz.
- Nether Quartz Blocks can now be Crushed back into 3-4 Nether Quartz.
- Metal Honeycomb Blocks can now be Crushed into a Mite Honey, with a chance of dropping several Nuggets of their material type.
- All types of Cobblestone Walls are now Crushable into 1-2 Chunks of their respective Stone type.
- Glacieric Icicles can now be Crushed into a Snowball, with a chance of dropping a Glacieric Ice Shard.
- Soul Eyes can now be Crushed into 2 Soul Gems.
- Steel Mesh, Wooden Windows, Iron Windows, and Reinforced Windows can now be Crushed into a few of their respective materials' Nuggets.
- Added several missing OreDict registries.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed Minestrapp Grass Blocks being able to grow underneath other soil blocks, which created a lot of lag and visual grossness.
- Fixed Charroots not dropping as an item when harvested.
- Fixed a mysterious Basket Crash I still can't identify the actual cause of.
- Maybe fixed the Piston Drill crash, but like lets be real probably not lmao.
- Maybe fixed a Crusher-related crash? I haven't been able to replicate it on my end, so I don't know for sure.
- Added missing Alloy recipe for Glowpumpkins.
- Fixed Cow Hide still being craftable from Rabbit Hide.
- Fixed some instances where Archantine was still referred to as Titanium.
- Fixed a minor visual glitch where a tiny shadow would appear for a split second at one corner of the block whenever you right-clicked an empty Plate.
- Items on Plates no longer render halfway sunken into the Plate model.
