Performance & Visual Update

 

- Emerald Pickaxe highlighting is now handled entirely by shaders instead of entities, which greatly reduces performance impact. The shader also helps you identify different minerals by color.

- Miner Villager spawning has been reworked. The villager now spawns only when a player is near a mineshaft, and only up to two Miner Villagers can exist at the same time for each mineshaft. This makes them harder to find but more rewarding. If a Miner Villager is killed, the spawn event will have a 10 minute cooldown before it can trigger again.

- Torch placement has been optimized and made more natural. The Miner Villager can hold up to three torches and places them when a player is nearby and the area is dark. When the limit is reached, placing a new torch removes the oldest one. If you break one of the villager’s torches, its torch storage decreases and can eventually drop to zero.

- The Miner Villager zombie variant has been removed, along with the missing texture bug tied to it.

- Miner Villager AI has been significantly improved. Zombies will now properly attack the villager. The villager attempts to escape danger, and if it gets caught, it will briefly turn invisible to improve its chances of surviving and still being discoverable by the player.

- The Miner Villager GUI has been improved with smoother visuals and shader effects.

- From now on, the mod will require Bookling Gear mod to run.
