Description
This mod brings Terraria's Journey Mode to Minecraft, which means you can find and research items to unlock the ability to duplicate them as much as you wish! This allows players to have a form of Creative Mode where they have to earn the right to be able to use items instead of having everything from the beginning. It also helps players be able to interact with the full extent of what Minecraft has to offer in order to fully research everything. This mod even allows you to obtain items typically unobtainable in survival, such as bedrock, command blocks, and more for those who truly want to research everything! And for those who don't, a toggle in configuration settings allow you to turn this feature off.
Simply use the command "/journeymode on" to turn on the mode, and press "o" to open the menus. From here, you will have a menu that allows you to toggle certain gamerules to help assist in the process of getting items, a research menu where you research items (though you can also build a research grinder to toss items into instead if you prefer that method), and a duplication menu where you can duplicate items or see how much more you need to unlock them.
Configuration files will allow you to adjust almost any part of the research process, including adding new items from other mods, changing how much of certain items are needed, and removing the ability to duplicate certain items. See the github page for an explanation of the configuration.
Currently Multiplayer has not been tested nor has the mod been developed with it in mind, so use it at your own risk.
9/5/2024 Notice - There is now a program to help add items from mods to the research/duplication menu; please go to https://github.com/DeeakronL/JourneyModeCompiler and follow the steps in the README.
