MineCoasters 1.6.3
Everything new since the last CurseForge release (1.5).
Design your own cars — the new Cart Workstation
A brand-new Cart Workstation block opens a full 3D voxel editor for building your own cars, boats and rafts:
- Sculpt the body voxel-by-voxel with an RGBA palette (drop the alpha for see-through glass and canopies), plus Mirror, Recolour, Box, Circle and Wand fill tools.
- Place seats (each with its own facing) — the car's seat count comes straight from your design.
- Preview your car against a faithful piece of real track in any gauge, style, water ride or inverted setup.
- Edit the collision box face-by-face and set the coupling distance so you control exactly how the car collides and how far apart linked cars sit.
- Save, load, assign and share designs as files, and assign any design — or a built-in default — to a layout.
Every car in the game is now voxel-built — even the defaults — and a car's size, hitbox and coupling all come from its voxels.
Better default cars
The built-in cars for wide steel, wooden, single-rail, wing, inverted and the three water rides were all redesigned from real-ride references (a straddle single-rail bike, an enclosed wooden mine car, a B&M-style wing fuselage, a hollow log, a shoot-the-chutes boat, a white-water raft), and each track gauge now spawns the correctly-sized default car.
Inverted is now a per-layout toggle
Any coaster can be flipped to hang overhead with a single toggle — the track flips above and the train dangles beneath, for any gauge or style.
Water-ride polish
- All three channels (flume, boat, rapids) are wider and deeper, and the trough now draws as far as the water so it never appears to hover.
- Waterfall audio now fires correctly on rapids drops and scales with how fast and tall the drop is.
- Weirs hold pools back at every boundary, lift hills drain fully, and queued boats rest bumper-to-bumper and resume when the line clears — no more bouncing or phantom crashes.
Major bug fixes
- Braking screech now tracks the whole train's real speed and each car's real position — it stops when the train stops (no more looping forever on a parked or relogged train) and only sounds on cars actually braking.
- Drop-track trains of 2+ cars now stay fully locked to the platform as it falls, instead of the tail lagging behind.
- Support beams now attach anywhere along a track spine, at any track length and from a wide range of angles.
