- Absences: players can be gone for one viewer only - unseen, unheard, missing from the tab list and chat, harmless both ways, and no company when they stand beside you
- What an absent friend builds and breaks fades in a few seconds late, and what they drop is thrown in from anywhere
- An absent friend's new signs stay unseen for 30-60 s and their words show late, while a shadow writes the same words on a sign nearby
- No music plays while someone is gone, and when they come back it is only while you look away
- Framed photos change only while out of sight, never with a fade; an open photo changes live only at high severity, as a sudden cut
