MC-AI Chat

A Minecraft mod that lets you talk to nearby NPCs. Whitelisted entities get a persistent name, personality, and memory, and can hold real conversations shaped by their surroundings, their history with you, and what's going on around them right now.

What's new

Full multiplayer support (#8)

  • Config lists (whitelist/blacklist/wanderer entities, monster/creature/wildlife overrides, structure categorization), conversation ownership, NPC-initiated greetings, the "who lives here" social roster, cross-player identity, directive ownership, and NPC memory are all now server-authoritative instead of per-client, so behavior is consistent across every connected player.
  • Dedicated servers fall back to hardcoded defaults for config lists that never reliably loaded there; hosted worlds (singleplayer/LAN) broadcast the host's config to joining clients.
  • NPC memory is now one shared, player-attributed dossier per NPC rather than per-client.

Auto-waypoint civilizations (Xaero's Minimap)

  • The first time you physically set foot in a civilization, a waypoint for it (name + coordinates) is added to your Xaero's Minimap waypoint list - hidden from the map by default, so you can find your way back later without cluttering it.
  • Soft/optional integration - nothing changes if Xaero's Minimap isn't installed.
