A mod with a configurable boss generation system that allows any entity to be or become one of them!

Description

Random Bosses is a mod that randomly generates Bosses around the world with valuable and useful loot!


Bosses have 4 levels, the fourth of which is special and called “Champion”

When defeated, Bosses drop loot boxes that vary according to their boss level. The drops can be ingots, weapons or golden apples (more suggestions are welcome)

  • Very rare drops in all their respective Random Boxes
  • Strong but balanced status for each one
  • Have very useful self buff on-kill skills

We recommend you to read the Mobs tab in the Gamerules menu when creating a new world to configure the mod your own way!

Gamerules and their descriptions (if any): 

  • Monster Bosses generate: Hostile mobs can generate as Bosses (default: true)
  • All entities can generate as a Boss (default: false)
  • Bosses glow: All Bosses have glowing effect with a color corresponding their level (default: true)
  • Bosses can be upgraded: Allows a Boss to level up by killing a Boss of equal or higher level (default: true)
  • Non-Bosses can become Bosses: Upon killing a Boss, any entity can become a Boss with same level as the one it killed (recommended with the gamerule “Bosses can be upgraded”) (default: false)
  • Number of entities needed for a boss to spawn: (there is a gamerule for each level) Number of mobs needed to spawn for a single boss to spawn (0 to disable spawning)
  • Bosses have a name tag (there is a gamerule for each level) (default: true for all levels)
  • Bosses despawn (there is a gamerule for each level) (default: true for level 1, 2 and 3 bosses and false for level 4, in the last version)
  • Progressive size of bosses (requires Pehkui) (default: true)
  • Random boxes only for player kills: Sets if any non-player entity can drop a Random Box by killing a Boss as long as the entity cannot become a Boss (default: true)

This mod is compatible with Pehkui and Mob Battle Mod (Forge), allowing bosses to change size and fight each other
