Description
This mod is part of the Renewed Extended project and requires it to work. Extended is a large mod that aims to eventually port all of LOTR: Legacy into Renewed.
NOTE: All the core features of this original mod have now been merged into the Renewed Extended mod in versions 1.7.1 onwards. This mod now only adds the Gondor Soldier as a hirable landscape soldier to the Renewed Extended mod.
This mod is a work-in-progress Minecraft Forge 1.16 addon (currently in alpha) for adding hirable units back into LOTR Renewed. It is somewhat inspired by Human Companions and requires The Lord of the Rings Mod: Renewed in order to run.

- Gondor Soldiers - 60 coins
- Bree-land Guards - 40 coins
Current Features
- Silver coins are dropped by most LOTR NPCs.
- Coins can be used to hire units - simply right click a hirable soldier with any type of coin.
- These hired units will follow you (unless you set them to Stationary)
- Units will attack any NPC that attacks you
- Units will use food that you put in their inventory to heal when they are running low
- Hired units can level up and increase their HP
- Units have health bars so that you can see them at a distance
- Hired units equipment can be changed
Planned Features
- Option to enable/disable hirable units being involved in PvP.
- Farmers
- Costs will reduce based on your reputation with the faction
- Add in rest of hirable units for rest of NPCs
- Guard mode
- Hunting mode
Known Issues (want to eventually fix)
- Hired soldiers don't always spawn with the same gear as the unit they were hired from
- Hired soldiers can be damaged by friendly units accidentally and then will attempt to fight them
