Locks Reforged 1.7.5 (Forge 1.20.1)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
[1.7.5] — Forge 1.20.1 — Lock Security & Multiplayer Fixes
Improved
- Lock combinations are now generated independently from public lock IDs, making them much harder to predict.
- Existing locks migrate automatically while preserving keys, ownership, lock state, and valid custom combinations.
- Strengthened validation of saved lock and key data.
- Lockpicking sessions are now more reliable in multiplayer, with better protection against duplicate, delayed, or stale inputs.
- The final correct pin now unlocks the lock immediately instead of waiting for the menu to close.
- Lockpicking attempts now cancel safely if the lock is removed, replaced, or the player changes dimension.
Fixed
- Copper mechanisms remain craftable even when no mod provides copper nuggets.
- Structure-generated locks now receive independent combinations while correctly preserving their contents and settings.
- Improved Carry On compatibility so failed lock restoration no longer deletes saved lock data.
- Fixed idle lock animations occasionally producing invalid rotations.
- Fixed HUD errors when a targeted lock disappears during rendering.
- Improved client registration and dedicated-server networking safety.
Compatibility
- Forge network protocol increased from 3 to 4. Clients and servers must both update to 1.7.5.
- Release validation now includes 96 automated tests covering lock migration, multiplayer sessions, saved data, Carry On handling, and animation behavior.
