LNV 2.4.1 Exposure Update
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Loam & Vessel 2.4.1
The Exposure Update
Your photographs can now go on your pot inlays.
- Photograph inlays. Right-click any face of a pot with a developed photograph to set it into the inlay panel. Plain and aged photographs both work.
- Photos keep their shape. Each photo is fitted to the panel at its true proportions, never stretched or cropped, with the pot's own clay showing in any margin.
- Camera as decor. The Exposure camera can sit in a pot's decor slot alongside heads and effigies, perched a little higher so it rests above the soil.
- Fully optional. Exposure is not required. When it's installed, Loam & Vessel detects it at startup and turns photograph support on. When it isn't, nothing changes and nothing extra loads.
- Update-safe. Built against Exposure 1.9.x. If a future Exposure update changes something this depends on, photograph inlays switch off with a single warning in the log instead of crashing your game.
More Inlays
The inlay panels now take more than blocks:
- Paintings, sized to the pot. Planter pots take 1x1 paintings and tabletop pots take 2x1. Paintings from other mods work too. The wrong size or a blank painting gets a short message explaining why.
- Pottery sherds. Sherds take on the color of the pot they're set into. Right-click a sherd face with dye to tint it, and dyes blend together the same way they do on leather armor. Dye is used up when applied, and a removed sherd comes back plain.
- Maps. Filled maps display on the pot and stay up to date as the map is explored.
Terracotta, glazed terracotta, and concrete inlays work exactly as before.
Compatibility
- Existing worlds are safe. Pots placed or picked up in earlier versions keep all their inlays. They convert to the new format automatically the first time they load.
Performance
- Inlay panels now do their lookup work once per frame rather than repeatedly, keeping frame times steady around pots with photographs.
