Getting started
You'll need to find grapevine bushes to gather your first Grapes. If you cant find any a Wandering Winemaker will make visit from time to time maybe offering some seeds. You can get seeds by eating Grapes.
After harvesting your first Grapes can either just eat them or put them into a Pot and crush them by jumping and walking around in it. Then you can extract Grapejuice by using Empty Winebottles. Filled Winebottles can be refined in a Barrel by using extra Ingredients such as Sweetberries, Honey and so on. Different sort of Grapejuice and Ingredients result in different Wine.
There are actually 4 different varieties of Grapes available:
Light, Heavy, vigorous and resilient. Each of them are found in different biomes and will affect your wines different. For example: You can find resilient Grapes mostly in Jungle Biomes and you can craft mostly Wines with the ability to heal with it. Heavy Grapes are found in cold Biomes; such as Taiga or Old Growth Pine Forests. Most Wines crafted with heavy Grapes will give you the ability to increase your Protection.
Having troubles finding Grapes or Seeds? A Wandering Winemaker will visit you from time to time - he might offer Seeds for a few Emeralds.
Feeling lost? There are some built-in recipe Books which will show you some recipes or potential Ingredients. Not the exact syntax - that you’ll have to figure out on yourself.
So... find out, experiment but most important of all: have fun doing it.

how do the grapevine stems/grapevines work? i've been trying to use it like how ropes work with tomatoes in Farmer's Delight and it's not doing anything
how do the wine years work? and how can i age wine?
Seems super cool excited to try, but in the future implement different types of whiskey, vodka and beer. Whiskey and vodka could have ageing process as well. Maybe just start with wheat and potato's but could be a super cool alcohol mod. Im just not a big wine guy or grapes person. But love the concept
In reply to netunooog:
Thats gonna be a seperate mod were working on! :)
You can craft beer and whiskey, dry crops and craft pub-related decoration stuff.
In reply to satisfyL:
YES! cant wait and hope it will be available for 1.19.2
having issues with the effects, disappears as soon as i drink it... a bug?
In reply to appslayer68213:
Which effects exactly?
Effects such as "instant_health" or "improved_instant_health" are direct effects that have no duration
because they are ... instant xD
Hey mod author, this mod is part of BetterMinecraft Fabric and stuff like saplings/wood/slabs work great. But I can't seem to make any wine or bake any bread, at least through following the recipes laid out by RoughlyEnoughItems. Is this a bug? Also, when I break cherry signs, they don't drop.
The mod version for Vinery being used in BetterMinecraft Fabric is listed as v1.1.4
In reply to asirzgram:
hey comment author
just tested everything and everything seems to be working. Can you maybe send a picture of your GUI when you try to bake something?
In reply to satisfyL:
Sure, here is when I try to make chocolate bread: the fuel is consumed, and the oven is lit up, but the bread is not being baked. I found the recipe in REI - the pages were empty in the "Welcome To Vinery!" guidebook.
And here is the aging barrel, again following the recipe in REI, and it was not visible in the book - nothing happens

What is the chance to get grape seeds by eating grapes? Ive eaten probably half a stack and haven't gotten a single seed yet. Other than that Im massively loving this mod.
In reply to artemis1013_:
I have version 1.1.4 btw and have eaten around 2 stacks of each type of grape and still haven't gotten a seed
In reply to artemis1013_:
The description applies to the latest version of Vinery - 1.2.0.
You cant get seeds by eating them in 1.1.4.
In reply to cas_perrrr:
Wine will age as ingame time passes by. Older wine = stronger effect.
Very cool mod! But I have a problem with Fabric 1.2.0. I can't put the grapes into the pot to crush them. Is it possibly broken or is there some other way of putting them in rather than clicking the pot with the grapes?
In reply to werblake:
having the same issue
In reply to werblake:
I found a temporary solution if you want to use it now, put the previous version, the 1.1.4 of the mod
In reply to blemattre:
Its gonna be fixed today - messed up the registry. Vinery got quite big lately and with an additional addon actually developed its quite messy. Sorry for the inconveniences. :)
Do you need someone to playtest your Forge builds? It seems like you just use some kind of automated porting and release it without testing.
When the1.1.1 version for Forge was released, I hadn't checked the comments. The only way to get grapes or cherry saplings was by the wandering winemaker. I had already accidentally found the crafting recipe for the grapevine posts. No grapevine sin the wilderness and no seeds on the winemaker.
Now that 1.1.5 released which purported to fix most of the issues, eating grapes were not producing seeds, improperly implemented or missing textures.
Now that 1.1.6 released, still no seeds when eating grapes.
Cheating, I flew as far away from where I normally played in my world and have yet to find a grapevine or bush.
Forge version is still borked.
