Adds a knight to the game that will protect you when recruited.

Description

This mod adds a knight that occassionally spawns on the overworld during the day, or at least that's how it's supposed to be.

In order to tame him, you must give him iron ingots until he is satisfied. You can also technically heal him with them, but I wouldn't recommend that since it would be fairly expensive and he already heals passively, albeit slowly. 

Now, here is a list of things the knight can do:

  • Fight for you (obviously)
  • Hold your items
  • Heal by himself (as stated previously)
  • Sit, by sneaking and right-clicking on him, and then damaging him to make him stop sitting

You can make him attack all monster entities within a 15 block radius by placing the 'Attack Command' item into the Attack Command slot (off hand). This item is crafted with a single stick. You may have issues using this in caves.

The knight has 20 health and 10 armor points. He also deals 7 damage (with default sword), and has 3 blocks of reach.

There are also some issues with the mod:

  • Knight attacks other tamed mobs if you hurt them, or if they hurt him (and for this reason I recommend only taming one) This has been mostly fixed, however the knight may still occasionally be able to attack other tamed mobs. Reloading the world should make him stop attacking.
  • Knight is somewhat slow, as in it sometimes takes him a moment to react to being attacked
