Purple Heart TreesSwamps now have their own native type of tree called the Purple Heart. These trees are generally larger than a standard oak but smaller than a fancy oak. Purple Heart trees grow vines on their leaves and trunk. Purple Hearts feature a full Purple Colored Wood Set. (See in Block Sets) |
Sinking MudWatch your step when in swamps—the mud near water may just be a new variant called Sinking Mud. Most entities that walk onto it will quickly find themselves sinking into its muddy embrace. If you’re traversing the boggiest parts, bring Leather Boots or be prepared to meet the consequences. |
Firefly BushesFirefly Bushes have been backported to 1.21.1 and expanded upon. These bushes can be found all over the swamps and at night they light up with bright fireflies. Use a bottle on one to catch and release them anywhere! |
BelladonnaThe Belladonna is a new unique small flower, native to the swamp. It’s poisonous—any entity that touches it becomes poisoned. Belladonnas can be crafted into purple dye. |
Swamp ReedsSwamp Reeds are a new type of aquatic foliage found in shallow swamp waters. They generate in dense groups and can be crafted into 2 Brown Dye. |

Mobs
ImpillagersImpillagers are a new trader class of mob. They live in a unique village, only found in swamp biomes. (See Structures) They have their own independent professions and are neutral, but they fight hostile mobs & attack Villagers. |
Dung GolemDung Golems are crafted from a Dung Block and a Carved Pumpkin. Impillagers spawn these golems to help in combat. They shoot dung from their arm cannon and are permanently Smelly. |
Impillager Professions
Dung CollectorThese Impillagers aren’t the cleanest, but they’re crafty—collecting village dung and turning it into blocks! They use the Waste Basket as their job block, which automatically collects dung from nearby farm animals. |
BankerBankers trade gold with outsiders to improve the village’s flow of gold— though some of their Gold Coins look a bit… off lately. They use the Vault as their job block, a lockable container accessible only by crouch-right-click. |
MusicianMusicians spend their days jamming out and hunting new tunes. They use the Jukebox as their job block, always ready to swap songs for coins. |
Structures
Swamp RuinsSwamps now have their own unique ruins for you to discover! Make sure to bring your Brush. Each Swamp Ruin has one Frog Mask; don’t miss it—it will guide you to the elusive and rare Frog Temple. |
Frog TempleNot much is known about the history of the mighty Frog Temple—the current residents certainly weren't its builders. It’s now the heart of the Impillager Village. Rumor has it the Impillagers didn’t loot it thoroughly, so you might uncover some interesting artifacts. |
Single Village HouseImpillagers feel vulnerable on the ground, even in swamp safety. As a result, they built their houses in the trees surrounding the Frog Temple. We don’t know what drives this behavior—perhaps something from their past before arriving in the swamps? |
Double Tree HouseThe Impillagers connect their tree houses when they’re close enough. After all, why descend to the ground when you can cross by bridge? |
Dung Collector’s HouseThe Dung Collector made this little spot home—it might look like a bush, but they deemed it perfect for their collection. It might smell a bit, though. |
Musician’s HouseThis used to be a statue, but the Musician turned it into a community dance floor. You’ll often find them by the jukebox, picking the next best track! |
Explosive Expert’s HouseWatch your step here—this small ruin was taken over by the self-proclaimed Explosives Expert to store their gear. It won’t explode. Probably. |

Impillagers generally should be compatible with any mod that doesn't override or remove the Vanilla Swamp
NeoForge: Impillagers is built as a Fabric mod. However, we Officially Support NeoForge via the fantastic Sinytra Connector Project! All versions as of 1.5.0 are built with NeoForge in mind and we aim for full compatibility with it.
