What's new
2.7.0 — Class identity, infected encounters and ballistic integration
Beta playtest build for I Was Here: Lost World, Minecraft 1.20.1 / Forge 47.4.10 / Java 17. Install on both client and server with the matching modpack configuration and data. This JAR is not the complete modpack.
Changes since the first submitted build
- Reworked all 17 class profiles with stronger, more distinctive strengths and weaknesses while retaining professional specialties and starter kits. The Pilot can clear two-block ledges; the Firefighter trades speed and firearm damage for protection. Updated the English class screen and corrected starter-equipment compatibility, including wearable night vision.
- Added ammunition-based block damage and bounded penetration integrations for supported firearms. Destruction and penetration are separate: protected containers and machines may be penetrable without being destroyed. Rules and material/caliber budgets are supplied by the matching pack data; support differs between weapon mods.
- Added an explicit Improvised equipment category for selected primitive tools, weapons and armor. Modern/professional equipment is not weakened by default. Improvised and Superior have separate generated inventory badges; existing item wear is migrated proportionally. Identified Incendium artifacts are exempt.
- Added one-time, persistent variation to newly spawned Spore infected. Mutant Zombies ally with Spore and can participate in finite hordes, with bounded recruitment. Strengthened newly spawned Mutant Endermen.
- Added selective Ragdollified compatibility for Spore's common infected human (
spore:inf_human). Other Spore body types and Mutant Zombie resurrection are not covered by this adapter. - Added a bounded Nether cavern-floor placement bridge for Strange Matter. The companion pack revision supplies Nether content, anomaly distribution, themed loot and rare breach-site structures; those mods and datapack assets are not bundled in this JAR.
- Preserved legacy mod/save identifiers and excluded validation helpers from the production artifact.
Dependencies and upgrade notes
New hard dependencies: TaCZ Tweaks 2.14.2 and Ragdollified 1.1.1-hotfix-RELEASE, plus their dependencies. Keep the pack's previously required integration mods and versions. Do not install this file alongside an older Core Integration JAR.
Update the Core, companion data and configs together on client and server. Existing characters can use /classkit for the one-time corrective kit update. New terrain features require newly generated chunks; do not delete dimensions to upgrade. Back up worlds first.
Local validation covered 654 integrated checks, 1,827 professional-bonus regression checks, selected visual checks and dedicated-server startup/shutdown. Large-horde performance, multiplayer balance, natural structure distribution and unadapted creature anatomies remain playtest areas. This upload does not update an existing hosted server or publish the complete modpack.
