I Can Take A Horde

“I Can Take a Horde” is a server-side mod that reduces hostile mob AI cost without freezing mobs or breaking combat. It uses capped frontline leaders, staggered followers, and reduced pathfinding so large groups don’t force full AI on all nearby mobs.

  • Reworked close-range horde handling into a frontline leader system
  • Only the front row of nearby hostile mobs now gets full AI priority
  • Added hard caps for close-range horde leaders in dense swarm fights
  • Followers behind the frontline now use staggered updates instead of full AI every tick
  • Reduced close-range pathfinding recalculation to a smaller leader-only budget
  • Reduced extra target-sharing and horde coordination overhead for follower mobs
  • Retuned SAFENORMAL, and AGGRESSIVE close-range presets for better heavy-horde performance
  • Fixed a crash that could happen when the mod tried to wrap mob navigation on some loaders
  • Fixed cases where the old 1.2.0 close-range system could perform the same or worse in very large horde fights
