Hypertubes 0.5.0 SPLITTER/JUNCTION UPDATE! (ALPHA TEST VERSION)

Do not consider this the final release, this version is intended to gather feedback and identify potential issues.

Features

  • Added the new splitter/junction system using the Hypertube Splitter
  • Players can now create branching tube networks with multiple possible paths
  • Junctions can dynamically redirect travelers via redstone or manually (using WASD) through different tube routes
  • Players can view the selected path using Goggles and change the Junction mode with a Wrench
  • Improved internal pathfinding and tube traversal logic to support complex networks

Improvements

  • Improved client-side movement synchronization while traveling through tubes
  • Reworked some crafting recipes to feel more immersive
  • Reduced visual jitter during tube travel
  • Hypertube Accelerators now play a higher-pitched sound when passing through

Fixes

  • Fixed desync issues between client and server during tube travel
  • Fixed visual issues affecting tube rendering in Ponder scenes
  • Various stability and performance improvements

Notes

This update is mainly focused on introducing the Junction System, which has been one of the most requested features for Hypertubes.

A lot of the internal code had to be reworked to make branching tube networks possible, which should also provide a better foundation for future features and improvements.
